Did you get the MF / RV / Incentives for your ZIP from the Edmunds forums? Wondering if you intentionally put nothing after “Incentives” or if it’s zero.
You mention a trade in as part of the DAS. What’re the details of the trade? It’s oftentimes easier to handle the trade and the new lease separately to keep the math (relatively) straightforward on the lease.
Assuming it’s an option based on your current vehicle, did you get payoff quotes from services like Carvana / Carmax / Vroom / etc. to make sure to get the most bang for your trade?
LOL thanks! It’s been my Google account avatar forever. I don’t think most people know what it is. Favorite line: “Err, please, innuendo!” “Innyourendo, man!”
Yes, MF is 0.00118 (Can’t do security deposits) and RV is 61%. No incentives, but dealer discount is $2,019 + $500 Trade in allowance. The trade in is a 2000 Camry LE with 215K miles, one sideview mirror, and needs muffler/exhaust repairs. I’ll check out the trade in sites and Edmunds for any additional incentives that could apply. Thank you!
I’d also recommend taking a look at the Marketplace section of this forum to see what brokers have on tap for the models you’re interested in this month. Their offers are a good benchmark for what a decent deal looks like, and you can always save yourself some time and use a broker in your area.
If you use the search on this forum, you may be able to find examples of deals others negotiated recently. The Seltos and CX-30 aren’t the most trafficked cars on LH, so the broker ads may be more useful.
As a side note, the /r/personalfinance crew would be appalled that you’re replacing a Camry that still runs - you’re supposed to drive it until it dissolves around you
hahah I know they would. The muffler and exhaust are about to fall off though and someone sideswiped my mirror. Quote to fix the exhaust was at least $500
Is Seltos a real car name? Seems like a mint or name of Russian spaceship flying to Uranus…who thinks of these car names??
I sat in a CX-30 and found it to be pretty nice.
