2021 CX-5 GT Reserve Lease- 447/month with tax - 1000 down

Why are you cross shopping the cx5 with the xc90? You should be comparing the xc60 or 40.

The RV and High MF (from edmunds it looks like 59% for the regions listed and 0.00157) coupled with little discount and lack of incentives will get you where you are right now. There appears to be only lease to lease and loyalty incentives.

That may be as good as you are gonna get, but you may get better value in another brand.

Post your sales price and fee breakdown for others to evaluate.

You are right. I’m looking at it as well but yet to hear from brokers. here is my story. I returned my 540i x drive recently. was paying 599 with tax in VA. Moved to GA now. I actually started with X5 as we are starting a family. payment quote was 750 plus. .lowered the bar. then moved to xc 90 to bring the payment down. number came down to 650 plus… again lowered my expectations and moved to x3/q5 …number came to 550 plus. At some point, I realized I should spend less for cars as my budget is different from expectations. To sum it up I was in a dilemma as in good brand or good features. Features won. Decided to go with the Japanese ones that has the features I’m looking for. At this point features are more important than driving experience. The best drive feel and interior quality close to european brands I test drove is mazda . So looking at cx5 GTRs now. major factors that shoot up payment are optional features, 15k miles and zip code tax due to GA.

Did you try the 2020 CX5 loaners/Demo? You may be able to get a better deal with 2020. Compared to the CX5 signature, your quotes are in line with what I am seeing from dealers.

Give it a month until all that nice looking piano black plastic that looks great on the showroom floor decides to look like it had a run in with a scotch brite pad.

you think I can get x3 or q5 or xc40 under 500/month with tax.
my requirements.
0 Down (I can put upto 1000 if the monthly payment is less)
15k miles
Upgraded sound
Driving safety pkg
Climate pkg

Can you define what you mean here? Volvo, for example, has a couple upgraded sound options, but even the base model system is way better than the base system from mazda, etc

If you haven’t noticed by now, I hated my cx9 and think very, very poorly of mazda.

I was thoroughly impressed when I first got it and considered getting a second… And then the honeymoon period wore off.

base model of volvo sound is better than bose in mazda? Base in my 540 was crap. Night and day difference in base model and upgraded sound. My friends bose in his mazda was much better than my base 540i…

i drove the cx 9 and cx5. cx5 turbo was actually good. surprised with the drive feel and quality of features. as you said may be interior may not be durable.

The base model stereo in my Volvo s90 was better than the Bose system in my cx9

Have you looked at Audi Q5e. They have had good incentives for last few months. I picked up mine with $62k msrp in November for about 490+tax with just the drive offs. You should be able to find a better deal on lower end trims of Q5e.

Also the Bose system in Mazda is only in the name. It’s just OK and sounds nothing like Bose.

Test drive one.

If 0.9% is available for 60 months as offered by Mazda USA, $550 per month you can probably pay off the car in 5 years, I would do a buy vs. lease calculation if you like this car so much.

I’d say get a Toyota instead.

Most cars do not lease well. This is truer now than it has ever been.

So instead of shooting in the dark, you need to look at other makes/models that lease better and offer more value per dollar.
