Hello!
Trying to finalize a deal on a 2021 Cadillac XT6 FWD Premium Luxury Platinum with all the bells and whistles in FL.
MSRP $68,910
Adjusted Price $63,096 (about 8.5% off MSRP)
Fees about $1,150
36/12 lease at $850 per month.
Edmunds gave me RV/MF of 56% and .00014.
Dealer says they are at 56% and .00078 firm.
I have a GM supplier code and the adjusted price of $63,096 is $1,623 below GMS pricing.
I welcome any thoughts you might have.
Thanks!
Edward
That’s almost an unbelievable discount in the current market for a GM dealer.
In my region there is a $2000 lease incentive on XT6. I suspect they are reflecting this in the discount.
I also see they are clawing back a nice chunk with fees and a marked up MF.
When you add these extras up, are you sure you are not better with the GMS discount, $2000 incentive and buy rate MF? You should also note that the GMS program limits the fees they can charge. Even though the discount appears better then GMS, you should still make them take your GMS code and honor the fee structure.
Just looking at the monthly payment, given you have a loaded-out unit, you are probably in the ballpark. You may be able to improve by $25/mo given the above guidance. Either way, it’s a really big number for a $68K vehicle.
I went back and told them that the difference in the money factor equates to about $2,400 and if we could split the difference I would sign.
They changed the mf a tiny bit and threw in an extra thousand on the trade in (which wasn’t reflected above).
Equates to about $25 per month as you suggested.
Works for me. Its a big number I agree but I feel we did ok…
thank you!
