Here in NorCal, 10% off MSRP seems fair for most dealers on a new 2021 BMW X5 xD40i. After negotiated the number, most of them put a marked MF of 0.00122 - 40 points higher than a base MF (0.00082-ish). Given the RV is pretty low (55), the deal doesn’t look good. What’s your suggestion/experience on negotiating MF down to the base?

- Identify exact cars with 5 dealers.
- Make your offer with exact numbers (including doc fees, acquisition etc) saying you will sign ‘today’.
- Its end of the month soon, lure them.
