Hi all, looking for help/guidance if this offer is appropriate. I feel I can still get a higher discount and lower monthly. Location in Bay Area, CA. I am a young professional recently out of college and not too familiar with leasing / structuring so looking for some help.
Inventory shortages all around, especially on anything AMG related. Youâll need to expand your search significantly or work with a broker to get a decent deal.
The best place to start as @sharksfan15 mentioned is:
Please read links in there such as âhow to calculate paymentsâ and other helpful articles.
It might seem like a lot but TBH there are fewer <60 minute exercises which will save you so much time, money and anxiety over your driving lifetime.
It may also save you (after your negotiations with LH input) inside the finance office where no one can from the internet can really help you.
Remember, itâs almost impossible to reverse-engineer the math starting from the output (monthly payment) and figure out if itâs a good deal. Start at the beginning.
Realistically, itâs an âAMGâ. Iâll do 13% on a C43 but only 10 on these man. If @Calvin.MB has something maybe he can help. This isnât a car I would blow out or post specials on. CLA 45 is even worse.
I just showed two other salespeople from different MB dealers the offer and requested 600/mo for similar specâd CLA 35 AMG ~54k msrp . Would 600/mo be a more appropriate offer? Should I be looking other brands/models? I really love the interior on this model with the dash + ambient lighting. Test drove it and itâs a very fun drive as well.
The CLA35 is competitive with the BMW M235, which as of last month anyway, was substantially less expensive. Im not sure where M235 are landing now, but its likely not $600+ mođ€Ș
Update : thank you all for information guidance and help.
I have shifted gears (pun intended) and focused my search for an m340i. Right now the salesperson has quoted $670 / month with 2k down 36month lease 10k miles. I feel the BMW offers far more value than the CLA AMG 35 despite my preference of the AMG interior. What do you all think?
Have you had the chance to look at other deals in the area that people have gotten?
The best thing you can do for yourself is use the signed deals/broker pages too create your own deal based on whatâs realistic and ask the dealer to take it or leave it. Otherwise, if you ask for a quote youâre only receiving deals that are best for the dealer and not you.
@legendsauto is a broker and has a m340i 36/10 $2500 DAS for more than $100 less per month than what youâre being offered.
Also, because of covid and the chip shortage, vehicles and therefore deals are going to be hard to come by soon so keep that in mind.
