2020 Toyota RAV4

,

Hello all,

I was deployed for some time and now I am looking to lease a car.

I have the following offer from the dealer but I was unable to get full details. I will attempt to get full details and post but this is what I have so far.

2020 Toyota XLE
Term: 36 Months
Milage: 10,000
MSRP: $30,501
Sales Price: $27,462
Military Discount: $500
Dealer rebate: $1000
Driveoff: $0
Monthly Payment: $236/month / 36 months
Total cost: 8,496
Total buyout after lease: $18,966

Thank you.

I think I can get him lower as this is just the online displayed price and I have not gone to the dealer yet.

Don’t go in, continue to gets quotes from other dealers. Ask for MF and compare to edmunds. You can probably score a great deal right now, just find the dealer that’s the most desperate

I just checked edmunds and it suggests that the sales price should be $26,693. I can see if I can squeeze another $1000 off the MSRP. Right now based off other posts I see this as a pretty good deal. I want to find out what the MF is right now

You should get an answer from experts here. Looks like a good deal to me. Thinking to get Camry nightshade as a commuter and best I get in mass is 240$ with 2k drive off, 28k msrp

I just got the money factor. He said current money factor is .00122 which lowered from last month which was .0015

You’re either double counting incentives or including purchase incentives.

That payment seems impossibly low, even accounting for a $500 military rebate.

He being Edmunds or he being the dealer?

Ok I believe I must have messed up the offer. He resent me a text that it is $236 a month with 2000 down.

So if I did zero down it would be 277/month.

I must have misunderstood the email!

“The national program” is not good. I suspect based on the text that this “quote” does not include taxes, registration, fees, etc. Ask him for a full breakdown like this. What he is sending you is garbage.

Then do your own calculation and make sure that all the numbers line up.

Look at Marketplace for competitive deals and use those as a benchmark.

Or better yet OP can hit up @Jrouleau426 and wrap this up. :upside_down_face:

I appreciate that. had most of that but did not have the RV in OP.

Just got an update to a vehicle that I can sign and drive for today.

MSRP: $30,501
Selling Price: $27,462
Rebates: $1500
MF: 0.00122
RV: 66%
Dealer fees: $498
Government/local fees: none ?
Monthly Payment: $244.56
Due at signing: $1000

your gov/local fees probably included in your due at signing. But definitely ask what the DAS covers.

I think this is a decent deal and I also think you can squeeze about $700-$1k more out of it.

Go ask for $0 drive offs and put down multiple security deposits. With your current deal, if you structured it this way, it would be $239 with $2,250 down (MSD).

Lol. I’m sure it did. Check their inventory I bet they have about 20. This seems like a big game and I bet he forgot to take the rebate out of the selling price initially. Still guessing you’re going to get hit with more DAS once he ‘remembers’ to add DMV fees, etc.

My advise is to create your own lease offer and send it out to every dealer in your region.

He just gave me the XLE numbers.

MSRP: $30,0641
Selling Price: $29,068
Rebates: $500
MF: 0.00166
RV: 66% / $20,223
Dealer fees: $498
Government/local fees: none ?
Monthly Payment: $255
Due at signing: $2000

And the bait and switch has occured.

I got quotes from other dealers already. he was the cheapest

another dealer gave me for a 2020 RAV4 @ $428 no money down. I feel like he isn’t doing that bad so far. haha.

Until you go in and realize his numbers are before tax and fees

@Jrouleau426’s sheet is cheaper still; MARCH TOYOTA 2020 Tundra Crew $205 $45k MSRP highlander xle 406 2020 Taco sr $142 sr5 $187+ upfront NATIONWIDE SHIPPING!

And again I am really suspicious of these offers being valid and including everything, especially based on that text you showed us.

Yes he was upfront about it being before taxes and fees. I’m going to try to get him to go down to $0 down including taxes and fees. at $255 for the XLE and it seems pretty golden ?
