2020 QX50 Luxe Help!

,

Hello, and thanks in advance. I’m currently leasing a 2017 qx30 in NJ for $311 which is up at the end of May. I’ve got the info from Edmunds on a QX50 Luxe: MF .000173, RV 54%, $2925 in Dealer Incentives, $1500 Customer Cash, $1000 Loyalty, and I have a VPP discount code which should be $750. I’ve gotten a couple of quotes for 39/12k, $0 down. I feel the monthly payments are ridiculously high after all discounts applied. I’m completely confused on how the discounts are applied and how to understand the quotes. Please guide me on how to proceed forward. Please see quotes below:

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize the two quotes were going to appear so close.

Not necessarily, I was told it’s better to stick with the same brand bc of the loyalty credit. I’m not partial to any brand, however I’d like to stay within a luxury brand within reason. What are you suggesting?

Volvo with Infiniti conquest (luxury Japanese), if still available. Great month because of Costco Auto Volvo program.

See if @Bostoncarconcierge can help you out. He has some really good deals these days.

Would anyone else like to review the above quote?

Get out of the loyalty trap right now.

The rest of your life will thank you

Infinitis are not the greatest buy for their pricing right now because there are more modern cars that are definitely cheaper.

On your second quote, you have a decent discount (18.9%), but that is probably with all of the Infiniti incentives. I am currently seeing $4,425 in car incentives (even without loyalty) from Edmunds, where you should check that MF and RV. This brings your discount to only 10%, which is not really that good regardless. The loyalty is not worth it when you can get more modern cars for a lot less.

If you really wanted an Infiniti, I would be closer to 15-16% pre-incentives, which is probably the maximum you could get with a new car. However, it is an Infiniti so you never know how much they will do to sell one of these cars.

I hate my Infiniti, it’s 39 month and not transferable. 5 months left woohoo.

Try Volvo, I love my Volvo.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I received 2 quotes from Volvo that were higher then Infiniti. If someone can give me a little guidance it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked the Marketplace section?

You are in NJ with some of the best rebates (if you qualify for them). People like @aronchi can help you with some great deals on these Swedish machines!

The first mistake is reaching out to dealers for a first pencil. You need to figure out a deal based on discount, incentives, base MF, and RV (last 2 from Edmunds) before reaching out to a dealer.
