2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. $386 a month 12k Miles MSRP = 39645

I am trying to work a deal on 2 Jeep wranglers. What do you think so far?

MF: 0.0014 and the residuals are next to the terms in my screenshot.

MSRP is $39,645
Selling price is $36,795.
Govt Fees: $95
Capitalized taxes: $1,054.62
Acquisition fee: $695
Gross cap cost: 38,544.62

Thanks for taking the time to review.

Sorry about that. I didn’t realize I left all of the other information out of the post. It has been updated.

You’re getting a little over 7% discount which is abysmal on a Wrangler. I would be shooting for at least 12% discount from MSRP.

With Wranglers you need to cast a wide net, some of these dealers still treat these things like it’s 2018 and act like you’re lucky to get anything below sticker. Thank them and move on. There are a number of dealers who are regularly at 7% below invoice.

Thanks, Jeff. He wasn’t willing to entertain a larger discount without coming in. I’ll keep looking but do appreciate the feedback.

That is nothing more than typical car dealer behavior.

If you like the car and are ok with all the other lease terms, then tell him that you will be in to sign today if he can get to 12% below (or whatever).

What state are you in? What trim? At $39K MSRP probably a Sport S?

Alot to cover here, you should read some of the other wrangler/gladiator deal threads.

Hard to tell what rebates they are applying, get a list but you are definitely short. Research private select offers and VIN specific offers. VIN specific offers are still easy to find on Wranglers. Also check out Truecar, Penfed, Usaa & Realtor discounts (if you qualify for any, everybody gets Truecar).

As already stated, discount should be between 5% and 7% below invoice. You can get the invoice worksheet from the jlwrangler forum. This usually averages to around 10% below MSRP pre-incentive. Once we know where you are we can recommend some dealers who are known to reach this discount level.

42 months is a poor choice for a FCA lease term as it exceeds the warranty and generally puts you into tires/brakes range. I would at least go down to 39 if not 36.

Are they quoting you FCA or US Bank rates? I’ve heard US bank rates are better this month, but the month is about to change and so will the lease terms. Goto edmunds forum and check the MF and RV for FCA and see if it matches. Whichever one they are quoting, try to get a quote for the other so you can compare.

It’s an OK deal but I would expect better for 2 vehicles. The missing rebates is my biggest problem.

First off, thanks for your reply. I am in Ohio and it is indeed a Sport S. I like the VIN specific recommendation and will certainly look into that as well as the jwrangler forum. I, too, expected better deals for two vehicles, but the salesman also told me they broke their sales record last month and business has been great :joy:
