2020 Honda Pilot AWD EX-L

Deal Check:

MSRP: $40995
SELLING PRICE: $34477 (includes $1750 dealer incentive)
36/12
Residual: 61% Money Factor .00107 confirmed with Edmunds
Incentives Included: Conquest $1000 & First Responders $500

Only first month due at signing.

Should I be looking for more or is this a good deal? Thanks.

Looks good, solid discount with base MF. 3-row SUVs are generally hot so it will be hard to get more value for your lease dollar in this segment…

Looks like the best deal I’ve ever seen posted on a pilot

Run, don’t walk on that one. That’s also the best loaded Pilot lease I have seen.

I don’t know that I’d go as far as calling an ex-l “loaded”

Price looks good though.

Not even close to being loaded (it’s the 3rd out of 5 or 6 trims) but good deal for an EXL

Looks really good, you could almost get three of them for the price of one infamous Pilot that was posted here. Maybe a new Leasehackr Score idea? How many of your car could you have leased instead of that Pilot?

That was an Accord Hybrid unless I missed a terrible Pilot deal recently…

Just name the Honda and you are guaranteed to find a terrible deal that has been posted here after signing. The $920 dollar Pilot happened though.

Smoking deal on a moderately loaded SUV :joy:

There was a guy that was about to roll a ton of negative equity into a pilot at $900 a month with a ton down.

Ahh ok, missed that one…

This is my first time posting, please be gentle…
Also looking at a Pilot EX-L. Can anyone take a look and comment? Should I ask for more? I was thinking $34,750, not sure what incentives they already applied though??

MSRP: $41080
SELLING PRICE: $35750
36/12
Residual: 61% Money Factor .00108
Incentives Included: Conquest $1000
$3701.75 Down (part of trade-in)

Only first month due at signing. ($289)

You’re doing $3990 at signing, not $289. (Assuming that the $3701.75 is the entirety of the trade equity and not just the portion being applied to the cap cost reduction)

Correct. Sorry for the confusion. I knew I would mess something up!

No worries. Just important to keep in mind so you’re trying trying to compare deals thinking you’re at $289 w/ $289 DAS.

Have you verified rv/mf/incentives with edmunds? You’ll want to figure out if that selling price you have is before or after incentives. I’m guessing the incentives are already rolled in to it.

Is $3701.74 the entirety of the trade equity?

Ok. So I confirmed with Edmunds and it looks like the only incentives are either the $1000.00 conquest or $1,000 loyalty. I was told one or the other can be applied. I am pretty sure they have rolled that in.
In this case, we are trading in a vehicle and getting $2,760 in equity. Then ponying up $1240 in cash to make the $298 first payment (sorry, not $289) and $3701 going to cap reduction. Sorry about the mistake earlier. Here is a link to my calcs…

Calculator looks a little wonky. Are you sure there’s no government/registration fees? That would be very peculiar.

I’d very much advise against putting $4000 up front. If anything happens to the vehicle, you’re risking losing it all.

There was no note about it in the quote so I didn’t enter it in the calculator. It may be lumped into the other fees?
Honda offers GAP insurance at no cost. Does the GAP insurance not cover the amount put down up front to lower the lease?

Nope. Gap covers any delta between the current buy out price at the time of an accident and the pay out value from the insurance. Anything that’s came before is lost.
