The ease of reselling was my exact thought too… come time for a new one, I don’t want to be held up looking for someone that wants a used BMW for $50K… and then the hassle of selling… IMO leasing is the way to go in this scenario. Plus if I wreck it and I own it, then that’s a lot more than just my deposit down the drain…
My dealer advised waiting on X7s till Sept/Oct no incentive to push them out right now as it is such a new vehicle.
Mine suggested December. He thinks that the hype is dying down and should have some holiday cash.
Since you have nothing in writing, what happens when they want a whole lot more money/don’t discount it at all when it’s delivered? Especially with a credit score under 700, why take the hit on your credit with nothing in writing?
We put something in writing when I put the deposit down. I just mean I don’t have the full exact sheet because I added a few things to the build when after I left the dealership. This is a small dealership, they don’t want to get stuck with a $90K car sitting on their lot. They already told me this. The sales manager was very up front with me, making sure their will be no surprises when we go to sign because he said he doesn’t want this car sitting on his lot.
It won’t sit for long.
But if it does you can be sure a TX hackr or a rich Austinite will pick it up.

They wouldn’t do much worse than they’re already doing to get it done now. They’ll get their holdback money.
I think I remember someone hacking a 530 out of this dealer, actually so they must be trying to hit an incentive bonus.

B.) I believe most people buying a car like that would also maybe want to customize their own, or maybe wouldn’t like the options I selected. I didn’t get the bigger engine for example…
The GSM told me he is basically giving 5 series sedans away… I think he said they have 30 on the lot if anyone is looking for one.

Yeah and Austin already has another dealership less than 50 miles away. The Austin dealership told me they sell 10 times the amount of cars. Austin acted like they didn’t need my business (and they probably didn’t), Temple acted like the wanted to sell me a car… hence the discrepancies in the two deals…
X7 right now or until the 2021 rolls out will be an expensive toy in comparison to the competition. It is meant to show that you can afford it. TBF, especially taxes in TX when it comes to leasing are not friendly, your deal is a deal I will accept here in Los Angeles. Your deal is like $4,500 DAS and $990 payment here. All I see here is $1100 per month $2500 DAS here in L.A.
What’s the MSRP on those? Have you inquired about what discount any dealerships there would do?
Check @BMW_Dave, I only inquired at thousand oaks where I got my previous lease to see if I can afford it. Unfortunately, it was not even close to what I wanna pay. lol

Yeah, the whole no income tax thing in Texas doesn’t mean less tax burden by any means. They have to get their money somewhere.
Uhh no. That’s not correct. Tax is based on the monthly payment.
