Oh no me either, I’d never tune a car I didn’t own outright, but I mean to say that if there was a car to tune nowadays, it would be this one. The engine is the exact same as the M cars and the bracing is only slightly different from the full fledge models, in all actuality this car is pushing wayyy more than 523 hp out the factory, BMW underrates the M cars HP by a lot.

“The flagging is not necessarily done by a technician or foreman. It’s whenever we connect the car and scan it for diagnosis the data that’s sent behind the scenes to BMW. Information that we as techs and foreman don’t even have access to like any data logging or over rev info and that’s when a hard fault is stored for suspicion of engine tuning.”
