2020 BMW M240i with Prem Pkg

Hi everyone,
A Calif broker is offering 2020 BMW M240 with Prem Pkg, manual trans, HK sound system, wireless charging. I live in So Cal.
MSRP 52K; Selling price 48,100; 36/10K;
$585 per mo;
$2,475 drive offs (925 acq, 375 tax, 590 reg, 585 first mo).
I just want a manual trans and is hard to find. I dont want the prem pkg. When I build this vehicle its cheaper than broker states. Claims vehicle is located in Nor Cal.

That seemed expensive to me but I’m not familiar with the vehicle type specifically there may be some more discounts available and also check for particular rebates like ol code loyalty USAA or PenFed

By a lot or by a few less noteworthy options that may have been left out of the description?

At the price you’re talking about, I’d rather be in an m340 personally.

You should aim for a better discount than 7.5%, but 2 Series incentives just aren’t great. Perhaps broaden your search to 6-speed 440is as well? I leased a $65k manual 440i for $500 sign and drive a while back, but incentives and availability on 2019 4 Series have changed since then.

M235i has been out since 2014 and it’s unchanged for the most part. You could probably buy a used one for close to what it costs to lease one for 3 years ($23K).

I’ve been following them for a few years, and the real world resale value is pretty high, since BMW doesn’t make anything like it anymore.

Thanks for the advice. Future maintenance worries me, although I’ve never had a BMW before. Would you recommend any aftermarket warranties specifically?

They’re looking for a 6sp M/T…there is no option for a manual transmission in the M340i.

For that money, I’d still rather be in an m340.

This is sound advice. I own a '14 m235i that I purchased CPO with 18K miles in December 2016 for $36K OTD. It’s a 6sp M/T with the M-Sport exhaust and winter package. Currently, the car has about 44K on the clock. It’s worth roughly $22K right now. BMW’s depreciate horribly.

The m235i has the absolute best version of BMW’s N55 motor, unquestionably. While I understand the appeal of the newer B58 in the m240…I think a CPO m235i to finance is prob your best bet. You’ll get away cheap!

They’re two completely different cars, hate to break it to you. Notably, one a sedan the other a sports coupe…

And for the money, I’d still rather have an m340i.

:rofl: well then

Just sent you a PM @Shane

I owned both. The 2 series is an absolute joy to drive. My 335 I was ready to get out of. It was a fine daily but nowhere near as enjoyable to drive. I miss my 235 every day but I had a kid.

You got an m340i after not liking your 335? How come?
