Guys, i know 230i has a 53% residual and is terrible to lease.
I negotiated a 230i lease with couple of dealers in socal.

$360 monthly included LA tax. LH score: 7.4 years
Thinking about just buying it. Same 2000 credit for 3.35 APR + corporate. 2.99 APR without corporate.
60 month monthly is about 400 w/ $10000 down. Not so bad compared to 3000 drive off + 7 MSD.
Look at the deals listed in the “Deals” portion of the forum. Pretty sure you can get a much nicer car for that money.
IMHO it would be worth reaching out to Dave (here on the forum) from BMW of Murrietta, or one of the brokers. You’d be way better off than that deal. I’ve been doing mostly reading here, and that’s just my impression. I did a lot wrong my first lease. Learn from other’s mistakes - it’s cheaper that way. (I should make that my signature on several forums)
Thank you very much for your advice. I am no longer considering leasing this car!
I got some 230i+ m package deal too (i think it looks stupid with a 4 cylinder engine inside) leasing around $440 (tax included). w/2k drive off. The selling price is really good (38k). Mine is 33k for 230 without M package. Pretty much this M package + convenience / premium package costs 5k dollars for this car.
This is generally what a normal dealer / broker can pull off for 2020 2 series now.
Maybe unrelated to this forum, but now I am considering buying this 230i. Really like this 2 series. I asked around a lot and with the same price i could lease 530e but it does not really interest me.
No interest in the 430i? It’s a roomier car, looks nicer (imo), and you could lease one for less. Hell, I’m leasing a $65k 440i for less than the 230i M Sport deal you mentioned above.
