36/10
54% RV
.00016 MF due to one-pay
The one pay works out to $836/mo including tax
First offer from the dealer is $63,057 which is about 5.2% off MSRP.
There’s also a $1500 incentive from Audi not included in that amount.
Any thoughts on what’s doable for the MSRP discount would be appreciated! TrueCar suggests 8-12% might be possible but I don’t know how accurate they are…
Thank you very much for the quick reply and your thoughts!
I’ll definitely keep searching online for comps…but most of the threads I’ve found are about deals on leftover 2019 models…and we’re being picky and want the updated interior of the 2020 model
If you are okay paying ($836 x 36) $30,096 for “renting” this car then go for it.
Sometimes you have to pay to play, but if I were in your shoes I would at least try and get an 8% pre-rebate discount off the MSRP. If you are not in a rush to lease, you could wait a couple of months during the Summer of Audi event (SOA) for more incentives and better discounts.
Just to clarify - you should ask for a bigger discount and shop around to see if any dealer will crack the 10% pre-rebate mark with base MF. If you really want the car, then I would “settle” for 8% off MSRP since this is a new model and the S4 is not as discounted as the A4.
Fyi, if you add Audicare (about $999), it increases the residual by 1%. End of the month/end of the quarter is a couple of weeks away, so some dealers might be motivated to strike a deal before then.
Thanks - I took the advice and tried for two leftover 2019 Premium Pluses…failed so far.
I offered 2 different dealerships 16% under MSRP before incentives (incentives on the 2019s are $5500 right now I believe)…the combination would’ve worked out to about 24% under MSRP.
Both dealers refused to go lower than 8% off MSRP before incentives. And these cars have been sitting on their lots for almost a year.
You are not going to get 16% off on an S4, even on a 2019 model. I would suggest either expanding your search radius and contact more dealers. If all else fails, you can always look at broker deals in the marketplace.
It has been my experience that Audi dealers (at least in the northeast) do not discount their cars as much as other manufacturers like BMW.
Maybe overall 19%-20% off MSRP is doable (still pretty aggressive). Try more dealers at the end of month, maybe some dealers will want to sell one.
Good luck and let us know!
overall 20% off MSRP including incentive (I believe it is $5500 this month), based on what broker posted here.
which means aim for 11.5% off pre incentive, imo is def doable.
What about an A5? If you go for premium plus you get the 8” infotainment and digital cockpit, for way less than 2020 A4 Prestige (based on your numbers)… A5 are roughly 20% off now for 2019, and more storage in trunk due to it being sportback.
I’m in FL. Naples offered me $10,900 off MSRP of $55k A5 premium plus… Melbourne Audi is showing 12-14% off on website. I called and they said they’d beat Naples deal.
