I would love to better understand why the Audi dealers are saying they are lucky to have 5% profit on these cars when I am seeing from around the country people getting 10+% off MSRP? Do regions really get cars are different price points or are these sales people just liars?
Invoice to MSRP is 5%-6%. Anything beyond that comes in the form of dealer cash, unit bonuses, or CSI bonuses. There is about 6% built into the car, but anything after that is not guaranteed, which is why you the dealer is saying there is 5% profit. The deals you see for 10%+ are dealers who are using the extra money they get from the manufacturer as incentives or bonuses.
