2019 Volvo XC90 Purchase

Hi All,

I’ve been reading through some topics, and gotten some great info! We are looking to purchase a new 2019 Volvo XC90 Momentum for my wife, and we’re currently trying to get prices from the dealer. He actually informed us that we were A-Plan members (not something my company advertised, but it’s there evidently). I know we should have tried to negotiate before letting slip that we were A-Plan members, but that cat is out of the bag. I have a few questions, and I’m sure I’ll have more once I see their initial “offer” for us:

  • What % off of MSRP should we be shooting for total?

  • What % off MSRP should we be shooting for before incentives?

  • Is the Volvo website the best place to identify incentives, or is there another tool you all have access to? I know location matters, so we’re in the Raleigh area of North Carolina.

  • Does A-Plan count as an incentive, or just a negotiation off of MSRP tool?

Thanks!

Calvin

All of the information you are seeking has been asked many times, and it’s all here in the forum.

Thanks - I’ve tried to look for these specific questions and the answers are hard to locate via search. That said, we do have some quote information back from the dealer and I’m curious how you experts feel about the deal:

2019 Volvo XC90 T5 Momentum
Add-Ons: Heated Front Seats & Steering Wheel, Metallic Paint, Navigation System, & 20" Wheels
MSRP: $53,030
Dealer Quote: MSRP $53,030 Invoice - Volvo allowance ($3000) - A-Plan selling price is $46,272

Total this is 12.74% off MSRP, but only 7.09% off MSRP before the $3000 allowance

How does this deal stack up?

Thanks!

You need information like the monthly amount, MF, term, mileage, up-fronts. MSRP, selling price, and nothing else means nothing at all.

I believe A plan pricing is fixed. I am getting 17.2% total off a 2019 T6 XC90 R Design. I’ve seen others pushing 20% for the right car. 12.74% is on the lower end. There should be more room, see if you can negotiate lower by removing the A plan pricing.

Are you buying or leasing? In any case, you don’t need a-plan to get better selling price at around 10% off + Volvo incentives (they are different on lease/purchase)
