Same. Looked for an R design without advanced but with everything else so 48k. I could never trust it. I went to Kundert, very much better.
Almost every Long island dealer has a T6 in the high 40s. You may be looking at the inscription or R design. My numbers are on the base Momentum T6. The MF on the T6 momentum is .00075
I should probably reach out to Jersey dealers to get pricing. Iāve only reached out to 5-6 in the nyc/long island area.
Thanks for the dealer suggestion
Yeah. I donāt want a momentum because I have no interest in black leather (have it now) or blonde (had it in my last car, and the color transfer was ridiculous). All I want is a T6 inscription, and if it has a heated steering wheel, fine, and maybe the 19" wheels, but just one option should keep it below $50,000. Everything Iām seeing is at least $53,000.
There are many T6s (including R) under 50k. They all are around $48.8k without Advanced. T6 Incsriptions are more.
Theyāre around. Try cars.com per my suggestion and narrow your search using the MSRP. Youāll have to actually read most of the postings, but youāll find the car.
Volvo of Huntington last time I contacted them for a S60 would only give me a quote in person the salesperson kept saying which is a bad sales tactic. Did they pull that line when you inquired for a quote?
They didnāt even get back to me. I got responses from Bayside, Karp, Manhattan, Smithtown, and Glen cove.
Yeah, unfortunately I have looked, and the only ones Iāve found are WAY west across the country, and one in Jacksonville. Iām not dealing with FL dealerships for obvious reasons like outrageous doc fees.
Why donāt you get XC60 T5 Inscription AWD? $52K one in mid-Atlantic will be about the same as S60 T6 Inscription. You get higher discount on XC60 and RV/MF are comparable.
I was thinking about that, but I donāt want to buy into the SUV craze, for one ā I had one for 10+ years and another one for 2 or so years, before 3 straight sedans. A lot of garages also charge $5 more for SUVs, which really adds up (and Iāll already be paying for premium gas, rather than regular ā $0.80/gal. difference). I do have to pay by the day for parking at work, so that means a chunk of money if I do that. The XC60 also gets less MPG, and I drive an average of 70 miles round trip to and from work 3 days a week. Plus, my friend decided to finally dump BMW and get a Volvo ā a white XC60 with maroon, and then Iād have the same car as him. Lots of reasons to say no, but Iāll certainly investigate more than I have.
You use regular gas in XC60, itās the same engine, just T5/T6.
Examples of R Designs below $50k MSRP
She does not want BLACK seats, so R is out of question. And she limits herself greatly.
@AP919 - I think you should just order exactly what you want, when you see incentives that you like. Volvo has incentives protection on new cars. But make sure that loyalty can be combined with pull ahead (it was allowed on S60 in Jan)
Iām not limiting myself! I am open to several exterior colors, just not black (had black from 2002-2016). Iām also open to either maroon or amber seats, and I can be flexible with things like the heated steering wheel option or 19" wheels. I never wanted black leather in this car, but my last one went on Swap-a-Lease, and I had to get something ASAP, so it was what was available.
Iām really weary about ordering, only because I ordered my last car before this one, and it was a nightmare, needed it serviced for things that didnāt work from the start all the time.
Momentums donāt have leather ![]()
I meant that you are limiting yourself in car selection greatly on interior colors. Most S60s are blonds/black, very few brown and I donāt remember seeing any amber.
My point was that a cars.com search produces options quickly. I did R Design because, well, I felt like it. I would suppose that searching for Inscriptions would be equally as easy and more productive as the seat color seems to be a requirement. I only do black seats myself as theyāre easier to clean but to each his or her own.
Closest option is this T6 Inscription
Coincidentally, thatās where my cars are coming from and I have a guy at that dealership who can be aggressive.
Okay, a technicality - I donāt want a black interior. Better? Iāve seen lots of maroon and Amber, just that they are either black exteriors or priced too high. The dealer in White Plains said there was a pine grey at the Port the way I wanted it, but thatās the one that quoted me $563, which was insane. That was with $2,500 in loyalty. They also made the tax nearly double what it should be and wouldnāt tell me why.
As for Prestige, Iāll try them if you have a guy, but I went there with my friend to pick up his xc60, and it was a mess. Then again, my friend isnāt the brightest, and Iāll leave it at that.
But I also have a little time and am just driving myself crazy worrying that Iāll miss the best price. I can wait for now, obviously.
Just pointed out that Mom has leatherette, but I sure understood about black interior ![]()
If you go to Prestige, you need to work with Tina Bilokin in internet sales, she is fantastic!!!
