So I decided to pop into the Volvo by me. The salesman is saying that the new loyalty program allows you to go from S60 to S60 AND do pull-ahead. I’ll reort back once the numbers come in.
This might be useful for you, though, @Ursus, if you don’t want to wait (what month is your lease up? I forget.).
It was way too high, pretty much as expected. They are discounting them a little, at least. He said that was $300 below invoice, but it’s still about $100 above where I can be, so they’d need to knock another $3,000 off the cap cost.
*Note that I do roll the NY tax into the lease, so that’s $1900 of the amount. Also, they have too much for the tax. It should be more like $1,500. The tax is the same at the dealer as where I live, so not sure how they for the $1,900 number.
That is correct, on S60 only. If you want to do it now, just hire Quentin. He will get you the best deal. My lease is up in March, I will wait and see.
I can wait for more than $3,000 off the car, unless Quentin can get me in at no more than $450 now, rolling in the taxes, wheels and tires (definitely after I hit that nasty pothole that cost me $300 last year), and 36/12 (since the numbers for 24 suck).
Loyalty was not allowed with pull ahead in NE since last May or June. Maybe it changed in January. And not allowed in mid-Atlantic at all last year. It is still not allowed in NE on anything other than S60.
But judging by NE vs. mid-Atlantic, it may be different in different regions.
Yeah, thanks, I know. But I’d honestly just rather keep my money liquid in case of an emergency. The MF was pretty high (funny that the finance manager told me it was “practically free,” when it was about $55 a month in finance charges.). Other Volvos have much lower MFs, so it can come down.
I know, but I prefer and need to keep cash liquid. My massive student loans make things trickier for me than it is for other people. I could work ridiculous hours and make more, but you only run yourself into the ground doing that.
Where did you find a T6 that was WAY less than $52,000+? Every dealer has them optioned out, so they are at least $52,000, and I saw very few of those. They’re mostly $53,000 - $55,000.
Where did you get that MF? It’s supposed to be 0.00082 for a T6, or is this a dynamic, and the MF is now lower on that?
Agreed, but they exist. I went to Prestige Volvo for my R Design but there’s one in Queens that fit the bill almost equally as well. The car was $48.5k or so. Searching Cars.com is a help though not an exact science.
My MF is .00081, not 82 – though I can’t imagine there’s a huge difference on the numbers. Lower MS are available with the T5 models if memory serves from looking at Edmunds.
