Hi Hackrs,
The Dealer quoted me $488/month (Zero down) for the 2019 Toyota Tacoma | SR5 V6 (A6) 4x2.
MSRP: $34,000, Sales price is $30,215.96, Residual is $25,842.28 and the Money Factor is .00223.
The depreciation itself should be $182 a month but not understanding $488 a month. I know the MF is high but what else should I ask from the dealer to clarify this high payment?
The lease is 24 months for 12K miles - zero down no trade in. I tried using the calculator but it was spitting out a negative payment… not sure what im doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
You need to ask for a lease worksheet or lease deal sheet. Their numbers don’t add up, as you’ve found. Lots of people buy cars based on payment, and don’t know how to calculate a lease payment. They just haven’t figured out that you’re not “lots of people”. Somehow the sales price isn’t the sales price.
Thanks, yes… its just not adding up. I have reached out to the dealer to give me a breakdown. Thank you for the feedback
Frizbee…Before you get too far on that deal, you may want to check the marketplace section out here. You will find much much better deals than what that dealer is quoting you.
I can ship you one from MA to FL and youll save a bundle even with $700 shipping!
Even if they give you the feedback, no reason to work with them when they tried to screw you so bad.
That’s actually the price for 2 Tacoma’s. So not terrible
Someone has a second mortgage and they want to pay it using your deal. Feel free to trash this jerkoff quote.
That could be one of the funniest things I’ve read on here! Unfortunately it’s true!
This one as well!
Use @Bostoncarconcierge hell @Cody_Carter could probably ship the truck from California with the back filled with oranges for a few grand cheaper haha
I feel like you can do better… I have a '17 TRD Sport RWD. w/ premium package. purchase price was 33k my residual was 25k and I am 380 m/o.
Thank you All. Appreciate your response and the humor
I will reach out to the dealer and thank him for wasting our time. Really unbelievable how some start the negotiation with a ridiculous price…
Also not good compared to today and now my friend
