2019 Toyota Highlander XLE lease, Question now on Trade In

,

Check Vroom, they have been at least 1k higher on all my estimates. Also have them run through Ally if they can, the residual is 67% for an XLE.

Ok here is what they gave me…

2019 Highlander XLT 4wd 36m/12k
MSRP: 42,618
Sale Price: 37,026
Fees: 1,133 (no break down)
Taxes: 165.00
Rebates: 3000 (500 in loyalty)
MF: .00255
RV: 58%
DAS: 810.19
Monthly: 461.19

Edmunds has the MF at .00143
Bad lease.

XLT 4WD? Is this a new ford and toyota mashup haha.

Ha, too much car shopping today. Yes, XLE, sorry.

What State?

Wisconsin, 53705

Should able to get to 400/mo nothing DAS for a 19 XLE.

If I were to use a trade in toward the lease and the trade offer is 6500.00 and im going to take 2500 to put down on the lease and then get a check from the dealer, how much of that becomes a tax break on the lease? just the 2500 or the full 6500?

I leased a 2019 Toyota highlander today. Was getting the same numbers negotiating from 4 different dealers. I went in and signed with the monthly we agreed on, given the sale price, MF, RV etc.

**The price on the actual car i leased is a little more because we picked a different one when we got there but again same monthly. $43,168 Sticker

However the numbers on the invoice are off from the numbers in my initial calculation but
at the end of the day my monthly wound up being the same (a little less because i traded in my nissan)

Side note: I traded in my Rogue for 6500.00. They applied 2500 to the lease for the total DAS. The first thing that threw me off was the cash on delivery shows $4517.63 on the invoice. But again my monthly is correct at 363 and the residual listed on the invoice is within a couple hundred.

What am i missing here with how they laid their numbers out?

One other question, Is it common for a dealer to have to send the check for the remainder of the trade in the mail?

Original Deal - 2500 down 365/Month

Actual Deal Same monthly and money down.

I Think i may have missed this part:

I assume that rebate there is where my discrepancy lies??

Don’t really focus on how the numbers are printed in the contract as long as your monthly and DAS are what you expected. Dealers shuffle numbers around based on internal strategies.

Since you didn’t know about the rebate you only got a dealer discount of 7.8% left some decent meat on the bones. Enjoy the car!

I hear ya, Im just a numbers/math guy. I mostly just wanted to understand how they got there.

I also thought it was weird that they had to mail me the 4K remainder form my trade and not cut me a check before I left.

There were no incentives or rebates available on the car so my assumption was they just used that box the make the numbers work. I had 4 dealers at the same deal so i figured law of averages

What’s your zip?

Zip - 08527

Just based off the contract
Msrp = $43,168
Sales Price = $39,820.27
$3,347.73 ÷ $43,168 = 7.75% off

Using your zip I see $2000 customer cash, not sure if that’s applicable to TFS leases. But it would match up with contract except the extra $17.63.

contact a broker in your area like myself and get one for $415-420/mo with just first payment down?

Better yet, wait until I post 2020 pricing in a couple days and get the new bodystylw for under 450/mo for an xle

Doesn’t surprise me. There’s usually a limited number of people that can cut a check at the dealership. They aren’t always there. Sometimes they do all their outgoing checks at the same time, etc.

Based on them posting the lease contract pretty sure they already committed and signed
