Hey guys, luckily just getting into this place when looking for a lease and wanted to see how my current offer is looking overall. Any insights appreciated. I didn’t use MSD’s with the current pricing although would be looking to use max to decrease price. Not sure how accurate the calculator is in regards to this though. Shows at $312 per month with 9.
Look for similar deal in PA or NY and u can cut that dealer fee. NY is still capped at $75 I think. Double check 24 month vs 36. Also suggest as always MSD or 1 pay.
Thanks, gap is much cheaper through my insurance so that’s covered. Had the extra wear and tear as a piece of mind purchase on my last lease, which was thrown in to sweeten a not so great deal the last time i leased. Not sure how toyota’s is overall when a claim is needed against it though so not sure if it is ever worth it. Believe cost would be around 450$.
Thanks for the suggestion. While the doc fee would be lower, would have to be a decent overall deal to add a couple hours back and forth. Because I have used this dealership in the past they are also knocking off around 250$ in overage mile costs on a previous lease which sweetens the deal as well.
Reach out to @Jrouleau426… think he could do better and in Philly PA so lower doc fees but ability to use MSDs. Can’t find a recent ad but know February was $309/month with zero down before tax on an LE.
Some captives are willing to forgive a set mileage overage when getting a new lease of the same brand (I know Honda does) so don’t just assume it’s coming from the dealers pocket.
Not really sure where you get that impression… If your referring to my hesitance to drive a few hours, that would simply be based on the offer. If it involves the extra time/tolls/gas it would have to be something a local dealer couldn’t match by at least a few hundred dollars, otherwise not worth the hassle.
Hey Jrouleau, thanks for responding. Found your pricing after Britten mentioned you but couldn’t make the numbers work well enough to sway me with all things considered on the 287 bank. Maybe I am attributing costs that would be covered. 287 per month + ($1175ish tax/fees + $499 broker fee) + $350 disposition fee for not refinancing through TFS/+$250 in over mile fees = $2,274 out of pocket for me.
Even with the $599 doc charge putting same money at signing would put me at $291 per month with the deal on hand, or $311 per month $0 down with 9 MSD’s $2,925(-250 overage covered)= $2,775 out of pocket. $864 added cost in lease difference and I would still be up a decent amount when receiving my MSD’s back at end of lease.
Most of the quotes I have received are actually not as competitive as the one I posted. Only one better was $600 less on an MSRP that was $200 less, with ash interior which is a color I am avoiding (have kids). Main reason I know I can drop the current offer a few hundred. Beyond that have a few sales people that are being difficult with getting me quotes. Alluding to me wasting their time because I said I am not scheduling a time to come in without a price breakdown. The generic ‘we’ll beat any price’ without actually stating their’s. Quite annoying.
I assume @Jrouleau426 quote doesn’t include loyalty and you can use TFS if you want, although it’s more expensive. Like I said, called TFS and they may be willing to waive the mileage overage if you are getting another Toyota so don’t assume it’s coming from the dealer.
Do you have a formal quote and providing it to the other dealers? I don’t get how you are getting worse quotes if they know what is currently on the table. Either other dealers are going to beat it or not. It seems like a decent deal, but nothing amazing, and the high NJ doc fee should make it beatable in either PA or NY.
You seem to want to go with this dealer so not sure what is your goal here.
Mine isn’t through tfs, members first credit union. If you want to do it through tfs and max msds I’m sure I can beat their quote. I can likely get my dealer to throw in free delivery to nj as well
@Jrouleau426 - I am trying to reach out to you on this. Could you please call me/ reply to my text. I need to get a car by this weekend/ Max by Tuesday. Please help.
So have worked down some quotes to a sales price of $31,559. Apparently my overage miles on my current lease make the loyalty rebate not eligible for me though. I am 1900 over currently and wasn’t aware that would be an issue (when initially looking I was at 1400ish over and wasn’t told about any limitations in regards to loyalty). Anyone dealt with something similar with toyota?
Sounds like complete BS… TFS is penalizing you for spending more money with them? Same dealership “paying” for your overage telling you this?
For the 10th time, call TFS and find out if they have any programs since you are over on mileage but potentially want to stay loyal. They will give you a straight answer.
