2019 Toyota Camry XSE

New member here! I’ve soaked up a lot of information already and I’ve started looking into my first lease now.

2019 Camry XSE

MSRP: $34,247
MF: .00021
Residual: 54%
36mo/12k miles
$1000 DAS (incl. first payment)

$360/mo

I’m very new to leasing and would appreciate any feedback.

Vehicle includes these options:

  • JBL audio, moonroof, nav
  • wind chill pearl
  • all weather mats

How much per month?

Can’t believe I forgot to put that! I added it now, but it’s $360/mo.

Pretty darn good!

I think it’s a fair lease. I wouldn’t say good …thinknyou can do better!

You think more off the MSRP? I’m down to $30,100 right now.

is this the v6?

No, 4 cylinder.

Just to add an experience. I was able to lease a 2017 Camry XSE for $300 a month and $2k down. I basically told the guy, you figure out the math but I am only paying 300 flat no hidden costs. That is where I wanted to only put $1k down but he talked me up to $2k. Idk if I could have gotten it at $1k down but hope this helps.

Whatever you did 3 years ago has no bearing on today

ok. Thank you!

That was not a smart thing to do or say.

With the 2K down your effective payment was $360 not $300.

I see what you mean, 2k spread over 36 months. That makes sense. So yea effectively im paying 360 monthly total.

Just to add an experience. I was able to lease a 1998 Camry SE for $287 a month and $2k down. I basically told the guy, you figure out the math but I am only paying $287 flat no hidden costs. That is where I wanted to only put $1k down but he talked me up to $2k. Idk if I could have gotten it at $1k down but hope this helps.

That was a bad thing to say in 1998, 2008 and 2017. But 2k was like 20% msrp, so you were immensely reckless. The only excuse is that Leasehackr did not exist in 1998.

Just to add my experience also. I was able to lease a 1962 Camry TRD Pro for $210 a month and only $7k down. I basically told the guy, you figure out the math but I am only paying whatever number you tell me, no hidden costs. That is where I wanted to only put $1k down but he talked me up to $7k. Idk if I could have gotten it at $1k down but hope this helps.

Wait, what?

1962?
You put 7K down? Basically, you leased a Camry for $400/m? Not sure if that was a good deal at any time in the past

$360 at that time for an XSE was a solid deal, the car had just come out.

I think you can work a deal on a 4cyl xse 2020 for low 300s with little as 0 down at just the right time
