Hey all! New to the forums here, but wanted to run this deal by everyone before maybe pulling the trigger. It’s a 2019 legacy 2.5 limited full loaded. What are your thoughts?
MSRP - $33,355
Net cap - $29,179
Residual – 52% ($17,344)
Money factor- .00045
$3k down, $345/mo, 10k/year
They dont seem to be willing to drop any further. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Kyle
Not sure the $345 includes tax but if you put down the $3K your monthly actually is $428 (less tax). That is a bit more I would pay for a Legacy. Are there any 2018s available?
I would just purchase the car as Subaru’s hold their value well. Also, other then leather the limited does have much else. Eyesight is now standard even on base model and you can get a premium model for about $24k after incentives/discounts. So you are paying an extra $7k or so for leather.
When I leased my 2017 it was $1500 drive-off and $311/mo for 15k year. I don’t have the pertinent details as that car is gone, but use as a measure against your deal.
That monthly payment does include CT tax, so insurance is the only additional cost. Unfortunately there is no 2018s laying around. My must have is AWD, and that seems to limit me to either a Ford fusion (Also horrible residual) And the Subaru lineup. I was actually very surprised to see such a horrible residual. Is that something the dealer can manipulate for a higher payment?

Q50 AWD, MDX AWD, lots of others will all lease better.
Also your winters are mild af you don’t ‘need’ AWD unless you’re doing ski trips to NH. Buy a set of good winter tires with the money you’ll save from leasing a FWD car, snow and ice performance will be better than any AWD car with all season tires.
Have you looked at any of the other options in the Subaru lineup? People have recently posted some decent deals on Foresters and Outbacks with monthly payments less than the Legacy
