2019 Subaru Impreza Limited

Just wanted to share an offer I got so far, but I think I can push little more. It is my first time to buying/leasing Subie so I’m not familiar with their typical % off MSRP. Is it relatively harder to get beyond 10% off if it was not August? I’ve seen many Subie buyers online (not leasehackr) happy with 6% off from MSRP and I was just wondering.

2019 Subaru Impreza Limited 5 door with 0 down:
MSRP: $29096
sale price: $25,161
Monthly Payment: $251
Drive-Off Amount: $2,270 (1st month pmt+tax+tag+acquisition fee + doc fee)

Annual Mileage: 10k
MF: 0.0002
Residual: 59%
Incentives: $800 included in the sale price

got this offer. what do you think? 16% off MSRP and MF/RV are all inline with what I was expecting. Their doc fee is outrageous but that’s how it is in VA, unfortunately dealers in MD won’t budge more than 13% off MSRP but their doc fee is $299.

do you approve this deal?

I believe it when I see 16% off from them. You have it in writing (though I can’t see it on the phone) so maybe… I’d try Sterling, but I’m sure you already have.

Actually Sterling sent me 24% off MSRP believe it or not. I then followed up with the guy who sent the offer this morning, he wouldn’t send me confirmation nor his manager.

You won’t get 24% off lol. Probably mistake.

Yeah I thought it was too good to be true.

Stohlman used to also be very competitive back when Lindsey opened, not sure if that’s the case anymore. Especially after they bought the Herndon store.

I leased one of my cars in MD because of that stupid doc fee, but it’s stopped being worth the drive just to avoid it. You’d be shocked how many people drive to DE just to avoid it. I don’t want to spend more than I have to either, but my time is worth something.

Stohlman calls themselves “#1 Subaru Dealer in the Area. Family Owned for 80+ Years.”

My WRX came from there. Met Kathy once, she is an absolute force of nature.

that makes me feel a bit better paying nearly $900 doc fee  thanks

Out of 16% off 4.5% are incentives, so the actual discount is around 11.5%, which is more in line with all others. $1,300 under invoice is pretty standard, I always shot for $1,500 under.
Or it’s $1,800 under invoice if you used $500 ambassador to lower DAS. Did you pay tax upfront?

Yes I did. the drive-off amount pretty much covered the tax and that stupid doc fee.
