After lot of email back and forth with like 10 dealers in Midwest, I was able to get this price to buy 2019 Porsche Boxster. I knew leasing is horrible for Porsche, So I didn’t even try it.
MSRP = $67020
Actual Price (including doc. fees) = $62,560.
What do you guys think? This is more than the standard 5% discount normally offered by Porsche.
Is this good deal to bite? Is there more room to negotiate?
They say P has 12%. Some people reported getting 8-9% is achievable. Boxster is a high production car for P, so pick something from stock / demo. I have recently visited 2 P dealerships - they try to make it hard to negotiate discounts, but in the end they need to sell.
I should add that this is a custom order car. It won’t get to dealer till December.
I even had a dealer discounting 15% MSRP on his inventory of boxsters but it wasn’t the color I wanted. So I passed up on them.
Boxster was actually the LOWEST production car for Porsche last year. When I bought my Boxster last year I was fairly surprised how little discounting was done on a 2017 CPO. When I saw they only produced 5000 or so Boxster & Cayman I figured it out. 5000.00 off is a good deal. And the car is a blast to drive!!
