I received the above offer and had a few questions on some terminology. Please correct me if/where I am wrong… Savings is in reference to dealer discount, so $3,330 dealer discount off of MSRP. Rebate would be any rebates available this month for this vehicle, which I looked up on Edmunds and they show $2,175 in incentives - so that seems right.
Edmunds also has base MF at .00003 and residual at 50% so that looks right…
One question I had is it looks like the depreciation on this sheet is adding the $1,139 tax and the dealer/state fee into the value of the vehicle… is that shady or is that how it is done?
I would think the depreciation would be 34,825 - 20,165 = $14,460… and 7% tax on that would be $1,026… which I would roll into the monthly payment.
So with that depreciation and including the MF I calculate about $405 + tax which would be $29… so lets say $435 for even numbers for actual monthly payment.
Another confusion is the $2,175 drive off. What is that comprised of? $483 from their first month + acquisition fee and then doc, tag, title, reg but that seems very high to me.
The $2175 drive-off is covered by the rebate, so it’s actually a $0 sign and drive deal. You need a real lease worksheet showing all the details and the items that were capped.
Okay, i will get the details on that $2,175 but would you agree to be skeptical that it magically matches the rebate given by Nissan?
Any insight towards my question regarding how they added tax in to determine the value of the car, which they then determined the depreciation and tax from?
cant say anything about the tax but often times they add the difference between the rebate and driveoffs towards cap cost reduction, hence being exactly $2175. On a side note everything looks solid on that deal except for the residual, thats brutal @50.
If you want them to structure the deal with $0 DAS, that’s how it will show. I already told you that you need a lease worksheet to see the details of what that $2175 covers.
Tax is usually never only on the depreciation of a lease. It’s on the base monthly payment ( which includes rent charge).
Wow that’s a lot of money for a Maxima. My 2016 Maxima was only $400 a month and the MSRP was only slightly lower than this one. I’m about to contact a few dealers for the 2019…but maybe I won’t be getting a Maxima if this is what I’m in for.
What state is this in? I have no clue where that tax number comes from but I think you should try to get more off the MSRP.
