Details on the class action settlement?

I received a notice last year that my old 2011 X5 50 was included in a class action settlement from the 8 CYL engine. I never had a problem with it during my 3 year lease. They sent me a $1000 code good for one year from the settlement for any new BMW with no restrictions. The dealer thought the M5 would be excluded like it usually is but it worked !!

Interesting! Probably something most people in the class action suit would hate to get as compensation, but it worked out well for you!

That ship has sailed months if not a full year ago. I got one for my oil burning 550i I leased years ago, but didn’t follow through with the submissions (for some reason I thought my car didn’t apply (LCI-F10 N63tu vs N63) which also burned oil).

But congrats OP! I think that’s a great deal on a M5C. Especially in Socal where the best I got was 10% before incentives/rebates. With MSDS you’re almost sub 1000 which is unheard of for a M5 yet alone a 120K car. A couple east coast bites at 13%. I wanted to be at 15% to get to my number but running out of time ie need to get into a car soon. Enjoy the car, it’s a refined beast.

Thanks, I skipped MSD’s because I like to keep my options open and have the ability to have someone take over the lease if I want a change. MSD’s can make that difficult. I just applied for my CCA rebate of $1000.
GO BEARS !!
