All of the local kia dealerships (As hard as they are to deal with) have had these 2019 Stinger gt1/2 models on their lots for over 200, three of them being on the lot for 220+ days on cargurus.
The red interior seems to be the poorest selling interior and that’s what most of them have at this point I’m wondering if anyone has had luck getting some big dealership discounts off of MSRP with the 2019 series.
24/10
.00208 MF and 55% residual. $9900 lease cash
36/10
.00198 MF and 50% residual. $8100 lease cash
Good chunk of lease cash to get it off the lot and a fairly bad MF/RV.
No luck even 250 miles from the Carolinas. The advertised selling price doesn’t hold before incentives, the moment you mention a lease. I have been looking for the last 4 months and even though the inventory stays, the selling price (before incentives) hasn’t gotten any better than 11%-12%.
5500 off msrp for gt1 is best i can find in socal area
6200 off msrp for gt2 awd.
Basicaly 6% below base invoice is best i can find. (base of that line ie gt2 base)
I’m working on a deal now - Hopefully I’ll have a hackable deal or two to post. At the end of the day though, they really need to be knocking off at least 15% off sticker for most people to consider it. At its current asking lease price, why wouldn’t someone lease an S4/S5 or a 440xi instead? Kia dealers need to get real. 55% residual for 24 months really hurts too.
I wish you the best of luck! I have been searching for 4 months now, and even though dealers have had the unsold inventory for 6+ months, they say they cannot price below invoice. I was targeting $46,500 but the closest I have come is $47,500 but that was last month. This month, it’s back upto at least $48,500. As much as I like the car, cannot bear to pay more than $500 on a vehicle that has an MSRP of $53,xxx
Same issue I ran into. They told me KIA instructed all the dealers to let them sit, rather than blow them out. Let me walk out of a dealership weeks ago and never heard back. I assume its true,
That’s BS. Kia doesn’t tell the dealerships what to sell cars for. They don’t care, they’ve already sold the car to the dealership. That would be like Kellogg’s telling Publix what to cell cereal for.
Cars not selling is the worst possible thing for Kia, that means the dealers will buy less inventory next model year.
From my experience Kia dealers just over value the car. They are not used to dealing with a premium product and they think this car is gold. On top of that they are used to dealing with low credit buyers that they take advantage of, not people that have the choice to buy from anywhere.
I dont know man. Two different dealers told me the same thing. While I agree that is BS probably, the fact that a KIA dealer let a customer walk out over $2K says something.
Yeah, I finally caved in at a total of $6600 off before the $9900 factory incentive. Also, ran into a major fuss about dealer installed accessories like tints and 3M edge guards but I wanted the car bad. Similarly equipped BMW 540i has an MSRP of $77,000 and without a loaner and loyalty, it was way north of my monthly payment target. So didn’t get a great deal but man does the car put smiles on my face each time I drive it!
Its all over with these cars. They want what they want for them and thats it. I was quoted anywhere from $550-$700 a month if you can believe that on a $51K car. To be completely honest, I was not impressed at all when I drove one. My wife’s SQ5 has the same HP and that car feels 5x faster. Maybe because the Stinger wasn’t broken in, I dont know for sure.
