2019 Kia Optima EX + premium

Getting ready for my next lease hack and looking for best value for ~200

2019 Kia Optima EX with premium - Pano Roof, Leather, Memory, Heated Steering wheel, heated and cooled seats etc… This is also the trim with 1.6 turbo and 7sp DSG ( sub 7.0s 0-60 and 31mpg combined)

MSRP 30,915
Advertised Dealer Sales price 24,794
According to Edmund Forums the MF is .002 36/12 residual is 52% and lease cash is $4950
with just the drive offs the payments comes out to $194 + tax…

Is there a better value out there for around this price?

What would make you think that sales price doesn’t include some sort of rebate. I know nothing about kia incentives right now, but I’d bet the farm you can’t combine that price with the $4950

It might, waiting to hear from the dealer and will update the thread, I see the LX being advertised for 159/month. I see another dealer advertising the EX with no premium at $221/month. I will update the thread once I hear back, but I shouldn’t be that far off.

What’s the fine print on those deals?

To add on to what Joe said, that would be 36% off if you could stack the rebate with the dealer sales price (which almost definitely will include some sort of purchase only rebate/s). That pretty much is never going to happen. Even if they let you stack it, you are probably going to get hit with a MASSIVE mark up to the money factor.

I dont have loyalty, but Edmunds doesnt mention the breakdown for the 4950 cash. Not sure if they have competitive brand rebate etc… See fine print below.

Lease price includes KMF Loyalty, KMA. Title, acq., reg. amp; doc. additional. 6.25% tax fee, $75 title, and $299 dealer doc fee. Extra charges may apply at lease end. Stock #K25077. See dealer for details. Subject to program change without notice. $299 documentation fee not included in final price. $20 per $1,000 borrowed. Security deposit not required. Residency restrictions apply. Purchase for $22,120. Quirk discount: $6,805. Must have Tier 1 credit in order to qualify for purchase. Sale ends 02-28-2019.

Oh it’s Quirk, just from being on this forum I know they are terrible and I don’t even live on the east coast. Good luck with that. Oh and it includes loyalty and KMA, whatever that is

If I cant get close to the price I mentioned, than its not a great buy. What is attractive about this car is the options you get for the price.

I hear you, but I have bought 2 VWs from them over the years, and they were the cheapest around. Everyone hates Boch too, but my current lease from them on a 2017 rav4 LE AWD is 150 included mass. tax. for 24/12 . I used the college rebate in 2017 towards drive offs and only paid 250 out of pocket. It sounded too good to be true, but it happened. These guys advertise aggressively, but they sell a lot of cars and they need to hit their numbers to get the hold back money, so they will work with you as long as you know what you are doing.

Oh, I get it. I’ve been ruined by the western Washington Market where there is little to no competition between dealers and any real deal takes a ton of work to find.

yea, there are 15 Kia dealers within a 50 mile radius
and 33 yes, 33 Toyota dealers haha

Over and under @ $250

Wow, they are not even trying…
Numbers dont even add up their totals. The 3 rows have 36 month and different prices. Its like it was put together by my 3 year old… I also asked for 12K and they have 10K on the paperwork.

I may give the sales manager a call to see how much they move but to me, no matter how much you load a Kia Optima it is still only make sense if its ~200/month… If I chose to lease a sedan for 275 I would consider Passat SE R-line, or a high trim leftover Accord…
