The dealership said they could only sell me the car at the $15,882.82 price if I purchased two additional packages at $549 each: wheel and tire warranty + prepaid maintenance. Both of these have a 30-day/100% refund cancellation policy. I cancelled both of those.
I’ve heard of others who have bought warranties, and later cancelled them, in exchange for a deeper discount off MSRP. Did the dealer offer this option to you or did you propose it?
Dealer said he could give me the car at that sales price only if I bought those two packages. I decided to cancel them on my own. There was no discussion about cancellation between him and I during the negotiation period.
