I’ve been back and fourth and the dealer seems pretty firm at this point. This has been the best offer that I’ve had from multiple dealerships by around $50 - $70 per month. Verified Residual and MF via Edmunds.
Curious as to your thoughts on the deal as provided.
I can’t seem to get the calculator to exactly match up, but I’m not an expert at it either. Here’s the link for as close as I could get it:
Sorry, I just left the formatting like it was from the dealer. The MSRP versus the Selling Price would be the discount the dealership is giving on this deal. Then rebates were applied.
Based on selling price vs. MSRP you are getting about 8% off before rebates. You should shoot for 10% or more towards the end of the month especially this is a 2019 and 2020 are on the lots now. But this also depends on what state/region you are in…some are more competitive than others but for any FCA shoot for 10%+ discount before rebates.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree with you. That was my target, ultimately my last offer to the dealership was 11% off MSRP but they are holding very firm on the 8.77 (ish) percent off. Original offer was in the $590/month area. They tacked on some additional rebates but really only increased the dealer discount by $400 to get to the current offer.
Just wait 2 more weeks till the end of the month and they will be more willing to do 10% off. That’s how I got my 2019 JGC High Altitude on the last day of the month. Was just going back and forth with multiple dealers during the month.
One way to get the price down is to lose the hemi. Unless you need for towing purposes it’s not really worth it. I had it on my 2016 and just got a 2019 with the V6.
Not super helpful, but I was trying to lease a limited for $349/m ($0 down, taxes fees rolled into lease) and the dealer could ONLY make these number works with a trailhawk Cherokee. It was the 3.2L v6 for $349 36/10.
