2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - Need Tips!

, ,

I’ve been shopping around for a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 in the specific color I wanted, granite crystal, and one in my local area came in stock. I wanted a sunroof and the trailer/tow package, and this one has it.

The MSRP is: $44,780

I got quotes from nearby dealerships for similar models, but without the trailer/tow package, but this dealer initially quoted me a 39 month lease, 10k a year, for around $470. I advised him that his price was a bit higher than some competition. He then came back to $425 and some change, with $2,000 DAS which includes first months payment and other taxes/fees.

I had trouble sleeping last night, because I don’t know if this is the best deal. I was planning on going in today to seal the deal, as we had verbally given the OK to go for it, but nothing was signed yet.

EDIT: The other kicker, I am leasing a Chevy Equinox and owe about $1,700 on it, but the vehicle isn’t practical for me anymore as it was just something temporary to have for 2 years…we’re about 1 year and 4 months into it. I’m at the allowed mileage though, so I need to get rid of it. This vehicle has no baring on the deal though, it’s not factored into anything.

Does anyone have any recommendations I could throw back to try to lower my monthly cost, lower my down payment, and/or get more miles?

So the $1,700 you owe for the equinox is rolled into the Jeep payments?

No, I am paying that off on my own. It’s not factored into the deal at all. Sorry, I didn’t mean to put that “part of the deal”…when it’s not actually.

How many miles were you allowed on the equinox? If you are already at 20k, for example, with 8 mos to go, don’t make the same mistake twice, especially on a 39-mo term, which will only compound the problem.

If you have not done enough research and negotiating to know if the deal is good or not, then either do more or hire a broker.

It was a 12k per year, 24,000 total for the Equinox. We did drive it a bit more than we probably should have.

Yikes, that’s 18k/yr.

Keep the Equinox deal out or separate deal.

I’ve seen posts here on LH for people leasing JGC Limited for less than $400/month. Hit up the brokers and ask them. If you drive a lot, get 15k miles/year.

If you decide to go your own route, get at least $10% discount off from MSRP + rebates. JGC Limited has the best lease #s compared to all the other trims.
