Have a look at https://www.jeep.com/incentives/offers-model.html?ccode=CUJ201903WKTH74A and check out the different incentives on the different trims. You’ll get an extra $1k in incentives on the Limited trim and a couple others but it depends what features you’re looking for. The aim should be 10% dealer discount plus incentives, that should get you to a good payment amount. I don’t know all the differences between 2018 vs 2019 but you’ll likely get a better deal on the leftover 2018s.
It looks like they’re giving you the $3k incentive plus $1k dealer discount, assuming no other incentives are being applied? I haven’t looked at the numbers for the Grand Cherokee for a couple of months but there have been some great deals here recently with them, but you’re not going to get that on a 2019. If you’re after the best deal I wouldn’t go for a 2019 as they’re too new.
Personally I would use cargurus.com, sort by oldest stock and target 2018 Limited trim models if there’s any lower MSRP vehicles left. The 2018 Limited have $4750 in incentives and you’ll get larger dealer discounts on them too but it depends what stock is left over.
Do your research on the different Grand Cherokee trims, 2018 vs 2019 as well, and see what you prefer based on that and your budget. Compare that to what’s available within your area.
Yeah your maths is right, but if you’ve only dealt with this 1 dealer so far they might not play ball so you’ll probably need to approach other dealers to compare. That’s why it’s important to try and not get fixated on one specific vehicle, otherwise you’re massively limiting the chances of getting a good deal.
As long as you’re not in a massive rush to get a vehicle take your time, don’t commit unless it’s a good deal, post questions here and people can help if you’re not sure about anything.
471 is pushing Overland territory, which is triple the model the Altitude is. That’s a terrible deal however the Altitude doesn’t usually lease as well as other models such as the limited. Definitely try a different dealer! I also suggest doing everything over email instead of going into the dealership. Good luck!
For what’s it’s worth, my daughter leased a 2018 Altitude 2 wd and the discount was $7750 off of sticker. Dealership also paid the first lease payment. Perhaps you can find a 2018?
My daughter is paying $427 mo, 36/12k but she also received a check for $1900 at signing which went to paying off her Honda. So your payment should be less
Yeah but that was for a 2018 which Chrysler financial doesn’t offer lease support on anymore, might perhaps be able to lease the 2018s through another financial provider though but I’ve no idea if the numbers will be similar. I agree though that for the low to mid end 2019 Grand Cherokees the payments should be around 1% (e.g. $400p/m for $40k MSRP, $300p/m for $30k) as that pricing has been consistent. That’s just a general aim, the actual numbers might mean the monthly should be even lower depending on the trim and incentives.
Sounds good, however when did she sign? If it was before Jan 1, it’s not comparable as Jan’s numbers are Jan’s numbers. Dealer discount is all you can work with.
Are both those deals with the same drive offs? The Limited quote looks like they’re applying the $4k incentive plus just under 10% dealer discount, but something is being padded as the monthly is significantly higher than the Altitude quote even with a better residual.
Did you definitely get the quotes for 10k mileage for both as there should only be a 1% difference in residuals between the 2 trims but one is 49% and the other is 51% so something is off. Are they both definitely 4x4? That might be affecting the residual.
