20% off plus incentives seems too good to be true. I’d take it if true!

Sales Manager offered 3% at first and I offered 20% after I got all the numbers and did some research. She then told me to come in and take it tonight.

This car was sitting at the lot for a long time. And not sure if these ā€œNight Editionsā€ sell well. 2020’s are rolling out now.

This is a great deal. I never new Tucson’s got that high in MSRP lol

Looks like an awesome deal! You can barely get a super basic Tiguan or Equinox for that price. Where are you located?

Northeast PA.

Could the SM be lying? I don’t have much experience in negotiating over email/phone.

Did they give you an actual offer with those numbers? Some numbers in the calculator are wrong, but I bet she is including the incentives in that 20% off.

Are you sure she isn’t including incentives in the 20% discount? That is a pretty classic ā€œmisunderstandingā€ bait and switch.

I used a template from the forum to email the dealer. After I got the numbers I said everything looks good expect the discount. Then I offered $26,584. And she said yes, come in now.

Incentives were a different line item in our email from dealer discount.

Wanted to make sure of that. Maybe I will give a call tomorrow, I don’t want to get taken advantage of.

Anyone recommend how I should continue. Thanks for all the help so far I appreciate it so much!

Best of luck. I’ve had dealers play dumb with much more specific emails/wording than that.

If you’ve got the free time, go in. If not, ask her for a lease worksheet or simply the cap cost which would instantly tell you if she’s included rebates in her discount or not.

I would clarify with her what the monthly and total drive-off is before walking in the door.

Or that too  really anything except just ā€˜selling price’ which can be misinterpreted (intentionally or not)

Yea without monthly & drive offs confirmed, I’d be inclined to believe they’ll already include the incentives in the discount, or some cases play dumb about it when you get there, and you find yourself having to re-negotiate the $5,250.

I feel like this isn’t going to end well. Ask for a copy of the deal sheet that she has already signed

Maybe this is one of those illustrious PA/NJ dealers that advertises sales prices with every single rebate included, even though you can’t stack them…

Maybe they are adding all these together somehow to get $5250…
