This is the national offer (see below) on the Hyundai Ioniq Electric. I know I should to negotiate for nothing down, but before talking to a dealer I’d like to know:
- Is the selling price on this thing actually $17,102?
- If so, what am I doing wrong here? With no incentives, the calculator has the monthly at $65, which obviously can’t be right.
- If not, is there a way to determine what the selling price is?
- Am I missing something? This seems way cheaper than Leafs and eGolfs in this area? Is the car that much worse or that much cheaper?
THE OFFER: 36 mo / 12K, $109 / mo
DAS: $2,500 (includes $109 first payment and $2,391 capitalized cost reduction). No security deposit required.
MSRP $31,245 (includes destination, excludes tax, license, title, registration, documentation fees, options, insurance and the like).
Actual net capitalized cost: $17,102.12. Net capitalized cost includes $650 acquisition fee. Dealer contribution may vary and could affect actual lease payment. Total monthly payments $3,924.00. Option to purchase at lease end $13,747.80.
