Hi guys need some help on Lease. Ive reached out to a few dealers about leasing a 2019 Acadia Denali AWD. I found 2 identical vehicles at 2 different deals. MSRP is 100 apart. One dealer gave me:
Total List: $53,580
Kerbeck
Discount & Rebates: -$5,715
Sale Price: $47,865
$2530 Due at Signing (Tax’s & tags)
(includes 1st payment)
$619 X 36 10K miles per year
Residual: $32,137
Tax - $1,598
MV/Doc & Bank Fee - $1,540
Not sure where he is getting that list though. The website and window sticker show it as 52685.
The second gave me this:
This payment includes sales tax and at delivery you would pay the first month’s payment and the motor vehicle fees and that is it. With 10,000 allowable miles per year and a 36 month lease, your payment is $608.60. At delivery, you would need a total of $1359.70. Again, that is your first payment and the tags and registration for the term of the lease.
You asked about the money factor and for this lease it is 4.34% and the residual is 58% plus 3 for the 10,000 mile lease so a total residual of 61%.
Our MSRP is $52585 and we are selling it for $51300.
I questioned the msrp wit the first guy and he came back with this:
I am sorry…… $619 per month was with zero down… I never entered the money down in the computer. I must of got distracted. With $2,530 Due at signing (tax’s & tags) your payment is $539 X 39 10K miles per year.
So both deals seem similar. More money down on one with a lower pament.
Id like to see where I should be at payment wise with tag and reg fees and 1st month down so I have a good idea as I get deeper into negotiation. I appreciate any advice.
You looked up the RV, MF and incentives on Edmunds? Someone with a similar name was asking and got $2750.00 as the available incentives. Do you qualify for any loyalty or conquest rebates this month? You need to add those in too. Your dealer discount off the truck is too low. Subtracting the rebates it’s less than 3000 off. You should be shooting for 10% off, so there’s another 2000 or so worth of discount there, around a 47k selling price BEFORE any rebates and incentives. Check with other dealers too. If you’re looking at Kerbeck I’d shop Jim Curley as well, I was able to get 10% off my Acadia there without any problems.
Check your zip code on autobytel for the incentives too. There’s additional regional lease cash in my zip code, as well as competitive lease and loyalty incentives too. Bottom line is that you need to reach out to multiple dealers and ask them for their current selling price BEFORE any rebates and incentives are applied. After you get that price start talking about a lease.
If you have a current GMC you should get a $1500 loyalty rebate in addition to the $2750. If your zip code shows it, there’s either an additional $500 or $1000 in regional CCR available (autobytel shows two of them, not sure if they stack). If they do indeed stack, then they are giving you absolutely jack $hit in dealer discount, especially if they are applying loyalty to that quote. Definitely shop around.
I’m pretty sure the loyalty applies regardless of term, just not the purchase loyalty. Down payment assistance doesn’t apply either. Edmunds incentives page usually explains things a little more clearly, but it doesn’t look like it’s been updated just yet.
This early in the month a lot of dealers might not be willing or able to dip into their Dividends/Flex Cash just yet to make a good deal happen. They might not even know what their allocation for the month is just yet. That being said, Fred Beans might be another one worth checking out if you can make the trip to Doylestown PA, they are priced pretty aggressively on Cargurus relative to the rest of the area, although prices have creeped up slightly since the end of April.
So I have these “final offers”

I have another dealer who said he would beat this deal with a new vehicle if I gave him unitl Monday so we shall see
You’re getting in the ballpark here, but @chrishs2000 has pointed out before that GM demos are basically a fruitless endeavor. It’s not like BMW where they’ll slash the price by 20%. There’s a set amount of additional CCR available (750 bucks IIRC) that they can use towards the selling price. You’re at around 10% off this one, but 10% is regularly attainable on new stock. Do you have supplier, college, first responder, employee code from yourself or a friend that can refer you? That’s additional CCR that can stack. But you’ve got to get the 10% off new stock before rebates first. Search Cargurus for units you like within 100 miles of your zip code and email the dealers that have what you want with a simple message. “Hello, I’d like to have a sales manager email me with the current selling price before any rebates and incentives are applied on this stock number. Thanks in advance for your time.” Lowest bidder wins, easy peasy.
