It’s a better car all the way around. The only thing Audi has is “prestige” which doesn’t mean a thing to me because I don’t need to impress other people to sleep well at night.
There’s lots of Korean car bashing on this forum. I guess people feel threatened by lil ol’ Hyundai.
I wouldn’t say threatened. Hyundai has done well and has come a long way it’s at a stage where Toyota once was with Lexus but payments compared to MSRP is what throws most people off and then again Hyundai didn’t really start with a great reliability reputation like Toyota did just my thoughts
Can you substantiate that claim in any way aside form your personal preference? I like the G70 it’s an impressive car. They have come a long way but are still not at the same level of BMW or Audi. To quote Motor Trends review “There’s a distinct lack of polish on this Genesis’ ride”. S4 0-60 is 4.4 vs. 4.7 for the G70. The Audi is several orders of magnitude better when It comes to the interior build quality and design. Outside styling is subjective, however to suggest that I prefer the Audi because I want to impress someone is being obtuse.
This is measurably false through instrumented tests.
It’s fair to say you subjectively prefer the G70; but unfair to say it’s better than the S4. The S4 is significantly more expensive than the G70 and it shows in what Audi put in it.
Most of you commenting have never driven or even sat in a G70. It’s a nicer car in almost every way compared to the 3 series, c class, or audi a4/a5. And yes, it’s much cheaper. I came from a C43 and agree on some respects that interior is a little nicer. But a comparable C43 with lane departure, adaptive cruise, etc is 70k. A m340i is 65k. And let’s not compare a very base m340i with pleather seats and no safety features for 650/mo to a loaded G70 3.3T Sport for 600.
In the end, they are all very incredibly fine automobiles. Styling is personal but you’d be hard pressed to find anybody who thinks the G70 isn’t beautiful inside and out. What a time to be an s automotive enthusiast!
It’s wrong to assume the genesis isn’t at least equal to the Germans at this point. I drove them all and picked the genesis based on driving dynamics, performance, and style. Value was just a bonus
While I haven’t owned either car, I have sat in both, and found the interior on the highest trim level G70 much nicer. Unfortunately, the b-pillar placement is horrible (like the giulia), making it incredibly uncomfortable for those with wide shoulders.
Op, your lease incentives should be at $4500. Its $3500 lease cash and $1000 loyalty rebate. This is separate from getting a dealer discount off msrp. Tell them to match your total rebate. Btw mf is .00009 ( not .0009) which is around .02%.
