2019 Equinox Pricing

Help please - I am shopping for an Equinox LT and I have a dealer telling me that the price they are offering is “Supplier Pricing” and that GM prevents any dealer from selling a 2019 Equinox below the Supplier Price. Is this true? Seems strange to me that dealers would not be free to further mark down their vehicles to move them if needed.

Dealer can sell at whatever price they want. Find a different dealer.

They should be able to sell it to you slightly cheaper with supplier bc they get money back from gm as long as they sell it at or below invoice. Probably something like 500 bucks on this one.

Just took delivery on two Equinox LT with Convenience pkg.
24 months - 10k mileage /year…$200/month (including 6% state sales tax)
DAS $445. Went through about 10-12 different dealers offers, insisted on email communication only, some (dealers) laughed, some made offers ranging from $4k DAS and $260/month plus tax to the offer we finally signed.

There is some truth to this. But it doesn’t prevent them to sell it lower by not using supplier pricing and this is what I found out over the weekend. Sometimes, you just need to find a dealer to do the legwork of finding out which program will work for you at the lowest cost.

Can you post your deal? I am interested to see just to compare.

For comparison, I’ve shopped around a bit and I’ve agreed to a 36/10k less on a LT AWD with confidence (msrp 31,740) with $0 DAS for $279/month, including tax (NY). I’m using supplier pricing and $1,500 conquest cash. I don’t have the full fee disclosure but assuming $80 for doc fees and $595 for acquisition I come to a sale price of $26,630 or 16% off of MSRP. Hope this helps.

Nice! Got the same deal, just a few bucks less but didnt use supplier pricing though.

chev CCR $500.; GM competitive $1500.;Capcost $750.; GM CCR $750.; Oct svc $800.
Had another dealer that was just under $15.more. and about the same for DAS. Hope that helps.

Michigan (judging by 6%)? Which dealer?

Michigan is correct. I am not comfortable releasing the name.

Oh Dave…

Thanks. Looks good.

Is this for the AWD model?

FWD…have to make this long enough

I’m new here, I have a question on the 2019 Equinox (in Michigan too) I have a MF/RV of .00069 and 66% (AWD) and 67% (FWD) for 24 month 15k miles. First question is, why does the FWD have a higher residual value than AWD? I thought AWD was more valuable. 2nd question is regarding going to a 27 month lease, the MF stays the same but the residual drops 2%, is this a normal decline for just 3 more months or is 24 month the “sweet spot” on Equinox?

Probably some data analyst exec at gm think that fwd will have a higher demand in 2-3years, who knows. A 2% decline for 3 months is actually $200 a month which is inline with the equinox monthly lease. The 27 month is $5 lower than 24 and $6 higher than 36 months. To me, 27 is the sweet spot since there is a possibility of replacing tires at 36 mos.
