2019 Chevy Equinox LT AWD 24/10 $304 w/ tax (IL), Good deal?

Got this deal and not sure if I should try for more. Currently getting a score of 10.4 (I put in the Coscto 700 + 300 (money I don’t have to spend on disposition) in the post-sale rebate section). Only rebates I’m eligible for are loyalty and lease cash which is 1750 (500 +1250). A little torn between doing the 24/10 and 36/10. The 36/10 gives a score of 10.9 which makes less sense since I’m having it for 3 years instead of 2. Also, just confirming that GM comes with GAP. Should I try to get any sort of interior protection now that I have a 6 month old or just take care any messes as they come and I’ll be fine?

Can someone convince me why I should get a 36 month instead of the 24?

Just take whatever term is cheapest. Not sure what it may be. GM includes GAP insurance on all leases

in the case of the equinox at this time, the 24 is slightly cheaper than the 36. Usually that’s not the case, most 36 mo leases have cheaper payments than 24 mo leases.

There are 5 reasons i can think of to consider the 36 over the 24:

  1. you don’t wanna deal with shopping for a car again so soon (that’s preference)

  2. you’re getting a much better deal on a 36 than on a 24 (you’re not in this case)

  3. you’re spending upfront cash on a new lease which amortized over 36 mo rather than 24 mo makes more sense (you’re really not putting anything out of pocket down because it’s free money via Costco gift card).

  4. you’re expecting leases to become much more expensive in the future (interest rates have been going up, nobody knows by how much, personal preference)

  5. you want to lock in a great price now for longer (the payment isn’t that great, so I don’t think that’s a factor here)

I would suggest get the dark interior and if need be buy a $20 seat cover, I wouldn’t spend money on a wear and tear package just because my child might make a little mess (unless you really feel that it’s going to be out of hand).

the 36 comes out to be $20 cheaper per month but then you’re making payments for an extra year. Residual goes from 65 to 57 but the money factor stays roughly the same (.00042 vs .0004).

are you sure? All the promos are on 24 leases…which is an indication that those are leasing cheaper than 36

I’ve already got a seatback protector for the car seat which should catch any messes but I’m usually pretty good at cleaning it asap if possible. I guess I’ll stick with the black interior and the 24 (which gives the flexibility to get a bigger vehicle if need be). Now I’m just torn between this equinox or the outback.

that’s what the calc is showing when I put in the numbers.

make a decision based on a real quote, not the LH calculator. It’s not always accurate.

Again, get real quotes to decide. Also take the dispo fee into consideration.
