2019 BMW Z4 lease ending 12/2022 - want another Z4 - use equity or buy this one (?)

,

Have 2019 Z4 30i Red with White leather… good options as shown in attachment.

19,700 miles

Lease ending 12/2022 $33,540 buyout. :flushed:

Would seem I have at least potentially quite a bit of equity.

I would lease another one - and there’s only a couple options I would get that I don’t have - and right now am considering either buying it outright, or putting the equity towards a new lease…

IF I bought it out, I would be looking at 6% tax & some sort of extended warranty @$3-4k (don’t want to have this car without SOME sort of warranty)

In my mind seems I would be at least a few years down the road before I “broke even” buying versus leasing a new one… (could pay on a lease for quite some time & have warranted cars)

I tried the “Equityhackr” but it seems broken… Just trying to get peoples thoughts & what kind of “equity” I might actually have to play with here - on a trade to another BMW dealer on a new lease… & thoughts about that concept generally…

This is a car I REALLY like & will prob keep at least another three years (definitely keep 3years if I leased another) but not sure beyond that. I have a track record of changing cars a lot…

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

Have you contacted any dealerships/3rd parties to actual confirm you have equity?

What calculations support this?
