2019 BMW X3 sDrive30i - Max discount off MSRP?

, ,

Hi everyone,

What percentage off of MSRP can I realistically expect to get off of a 2019 (new…not a demo) BMW X3 sDrive30i? It appears that invoice is at 6%. In searching online I see websites that say there is no holdback and one that says “Starting with the 2017 model year, BMW’s holdback will be 5 percent of a vehicle’s full sticker price.”. Maybe that’s old news and BMW did away with it.

Anyway, I see these 10%+ off deals and I’m not sure if maybe they include incentives, or maybe there’s some hidden dealer support, selling at a loss to meet sales quota, etc…

I’m not comfortable pushing for a deep discount off before incentives if I don’t understand the pricing structure. I don’t want to push for, say, 10% off if it’s just not feasible. If 10% or more is possible, then how is the dealer making any money on the deal?

Just trying to understand before I start my negotiations.

Thanks!

What model is it? sDrive 30i isn’t exactly a model

Shop around and see what is offered, then push for more

Sorry. Forgot the X3. I’ve corrected the post. Thanks.

I wouldn’t tip your hand, let’s say the consensus on here is 8% and that’s what you ask for and the dealer says yes. What if you contact all the dealers in town for quotes and one comes back at 10%, you just left 2% on the table. Also, there are other components to the deal like mf, bs addons, stupid high Florida doc fees. If you’re ready to sign then start reaching out to dealers and post your quotes here.
