2019 BMW X3 M40i Lease Comparison

,

Hi All. As the title suggests, I want to hear about your lease deals for a 2019 X3 M40i. I recently signed a lease deal and want to hear about deals you guys have heard of / signed. Below are the details of mine

**Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2019 BMW X3 M40i

**MSRP: $65,320
**Selling Price: $57,544.67
**Monthly Payment: $790
**Cash Due at Signing: $2,000 (Read below for breakdown)
**MSD: 0
**Incentives:$1,250 ($750 Conquest, $500 lease cash)

**Months: 36
**Annual Mileage:15K
**MF: Not sure (either .00167 or .00177)
**Residual: $37,019.20

**Region: Northeast

This is the breakdown of the Cash Due at Signing of $2,000

  • First Month Payment - $790
  • MV Fee: $304.50
  • Acquisition Fee: $995
The Dealer, for making the math easy made the sum of the above 3 values a flat $2,000.

Since BMW changed the maintenance package for the 2019 models to 3 yrs/ 36K Miles I bought the additional maintenance package warranty to cover myself for the remaining 9K miles. Also since its the M40i, i was certain I’m going to need new breaks before the lease expires and this warranty covers breaks replacement. After some haggling on that cost, i got that for the additional $1,451.62

So Cash DAS plus the warranty, all those added up to $3,451.62.

Hope to hear about your deals!

Serious question - at this price point, why not just get an X5?

The lowest offer I got for an X5 was around the same $790/month but the DAS was around $3000/$3500 and they all were for 2018 models. I wasn’t getting as big of a reduction for the 2019 model. Also when i test drove the X5, it was really big for my comfort.

Next time post before you sign.

Can you let me know which part(s) of the deal you feel are not good? It’s too late for me but it might be very helpful to others on the forum who are looking for the same car.

What I was trying to do was was trying to get a deal where other than paying 1st month payment I wanted to put as little as possible towards any down payment.

During my car shopping these are the numbers that I got. Theses numbers were the ones that I got when I went to the dealerships and not over the phone (What I found was numbers given over the phone were outrageous and I stopped calling dealers after a point and just went in). All but one were first month due at signing. Everything else was rolled into the lease. 36 months/ 15k miles a year

  • 2019 X3 xDrive30i: MSRP: $57,540. I was given a number of $795/month
  • 2019 X3 xDrive30i: MSRP: $56,040. I was given a number of $779/month
  • 2019 X3 xDrive30i: MSRP: $55,165. I was given a number of $730/month
  • 2019 X3 M40i: MSRP: $64,875. I was given a number of $853/month with $2500 DAS.
  • 2018 X3 xDrive30i: MSRP: $57,820. I was given a number of $688/month
    2018 X3 xDrive30i Loaner with 4.7K miles: MSRP: $58,420. I was given a number of $699/month
  • 2018 X3 M40i: MSRP: $63,795. I was given a number of $879/month

The one deal that I could not consider was a 2019 X3 xDrive30i: MSRP: $57,850. I was given a number of $699/month for 36 months/15K. This car came with an extra set of wheels. I Don’t have anywhere to store and extra set of wheels.

Based on all these numbers that were given to me, that’s why I went the one I signed.

If you can do 3500 drives offs next time think about doing zero drive off and MSDs. I personally would have skipped the warranty. If you’re that concerned about it next time get the numbers for 24/15. The increased monthly likely would have been offset by what you paid for the warranty and the set of tires you’re going to have to buy. End of the day you may have gotten an ok deal for that car it’s just hard for people on this site to fathom paying that much for an x3. Those type of payments open up so many options.

Also next time push on the discount of the car before incentives and don’t talk monthly payments until the end.

I just signed a deal sign and drive 0$ down on a 2018 x3m40 60k msrp. $599 per month. Brand new not loaner for comparison.

for how many annual miles? including or not including msd? how much % off did you get from msrp?

Don’t remember how much off but believe 13%. Applied college grad and loyalty but same as OL CODE.

Hey buddy. Do you go to a broker or dealer? That’s an awesome deal. I’m interested in that car. Dont know if you would get a referral credit.

Was this question directed towards me or to one of the posters?
If it’s towards me, I went on my own to the dealer. Did not go through a broker.

Hey,
I’m interested in this same car, can you share the dealer? PM if better.

Thanks!

Here’s a deal I just closed and took delivery last week:
2019 m40i
Sign and Drive
0 MSD
~60k msrp negotiated about 10% off so final was around 54k
36/10k
Incentives included: loyalty, college grad
Monthly: $607 all in
NYC registration, I can say that dealing with brokers I’ve gotten some meh deals but this one came down to the help of the leasehackr deals posted for this car that caused a competition for my business.

What’s BIK Wheel? What incentives are they rolling in? Price break out?

The wheels black coated. Not sure what the incentives are, I only got this for the break down of rebates ($7,343).

Is that something I should find out?

You should one hundred percent find out the Money factor being used, the Residual value, and a break out of the sales price in dealer discount and incentives.

Residual is 59% I believe and the if I recall the MF is .00167 if I remember correctly.

What’s your tax rate? Roughly 3.5%? How is tax applied here? On the sales price, the lease cost, or monthly?

Looks as if tax is applied on sales price at a 3.5% rate.

If that’s the case, the closest I could get reproducing this in the calculator was 844 a month.

I would get rid of BIK wheel as I’m not quite sure what the point of it is and find out how they’re rolling in incentives. Right now you’re at a 10 percent discount with dealer and incentives together.
