2019 BMW 640xi GT M Sports $76,885, $2,300 DAS, $599.75/m

Hey guys,

As some of you know, I have been very active lately as I was in a market for a 540i.
However, due to remaining 3 payment on my current lease (535i $540 x 3) I stepped out from the market as it was hard to achieve more than 10% discount on the vehicle (target was 15%).
However, I recently saw someone signing a 640i with solid deal and went for a hunt!

Last night, I emailed 2 dealer in Socal that had 640i with some feature I liked. (As of 9/23 there were total of 4 640xi in so cal)
I email both dealer and inquire if I can make an offer on the stock vehicle

Based on cargurus, both vehicle was at the lot for almost 300 days and I thought it would be easy to get 25% discount on the MSRP. One of the dealer emailed me with 15% discount and another dealer called me with 23% discount. I emailed and call both dealer and told them 15-23% discount is not what I was looking for. I told them straight forward that I have seen some deals on the forum and I was looking for around 28% discount from the MSRP (pre-incentives)

Few minutes later, one of the dealer got back to me saying the max they could do would be 25% discount. But the other dealer manager called and explained to me some great offer but the car was missing a must feature. I decided to stop by at the dealer who emailed me to negotiate further more.

When I got to the dealer, all the employee were very nice and friendly.

Anyway, after a test drive I got 25% discount on the MSRP as agreed but notice MF was slightly upcharged (approxonately $40 difference).
Since the MF was high and OL code didn’t work, I was $100 over on my target price.

After several push and pull, the sales advisors and their manager helped me to get a deal I wanted.

I’ve seen some great deal on the 640xi recently and I can’t say my deal is great but I’m happy with what I got from that dealer! Especially my sales advisor have include a ribbon on top of my car to take some photos too

Overall, it was a pleasant experience

Sweet ride. Enjoy. That’s a solid deal, if you ask me. Way better than civilians do.

:bat:

Nicely done! Glad to see some CA dealers are finally discounting these. Enjoy the massive amounts of space these things have!

They did not accept your OL code but they gave you a ribbon lol. That’s a $500 ribbon
Do people still do the ribbon thing? The last thing I want when I am picking up my car is some crappy ribbon on it…

I have 7 purchase and lease experience and this was the first time where the dealer parked my car at the showroom near the pick up area with the ribbon. Nothing special until now lol. Makes me want to go buy future car from them. Its just a new way of thanks from the dealer and we appreciate it

Great deal! Which dealer?

Just outta curiosity, where did you find this information on cargurus. I don’t see anything being mentioned about how long the vehicle’s been in inventory. Thanks!

You have 2 option.
1 - once you find the car you can scroll down to see the lot days under negotiation

2 - under filter, there should be a days on market column. Look for the car that was sitting on the lot for 250+ days

Most important fact you didn’t mention anywhere was that it’s a GT.

Hi there! I am definitely interested in this. Any tips? Would like some pointers and will be looking to lease my first bmw.

I was told that there is a stop sale on the 2019 BMW 640i GT xdrive. I looked up some additional cars on cargurus but seems like Socal post has been all disappeared.

Based on what I did, I searched a car on Cargurus to see how much is people paying. I set my goal where it was sold cheapest. For this vehicle, considering the 2019, in the lot for period of time, and stock remaining; my goal was 25% discount from the MSRP without any incentives added on

I had remaining payment of the previous lease so I just added on top of MSRP and used leasehackrs calculator to see where I wanted to be.

here is what I did

  1. Google year make model incentives & MF (ex: 2019 BMW 640i GT incentives & MF)
  2. BMW configure my best option (know what you want in options and color)
  3. Cargurus: see how much is others are paying
  4. Cargurus: look for the car that was in dealers lot for 250+ days
  5. Cargurus, BMWusa, and dealer website to look for the vehicle I want (I did 150 miles radius)
  6. Call dealer in the morning and tell them how I’m serious buyer would like to purchase the vehicle if the price meets my expectation (most of the dealer understood and gave me an aggressive offer as I was 50 miles away from their dealer. They asked if the price meet would I be coming down to their dealer today and I said I can be there within 1 hr)
  7. ball games (you need to contact several dealer just in case you don’t make any deal on that dealer)
  8. I contact 3 dealer at the same time (1 texting, 1 calling, 1 emailing)
  9. you need to show them you are knowledge about leasing procedure enough to hack the deal but you need to polite to every one of them. no one wants to sell a car to rude people
  10. Once your close enough with any of the dealer, visit the dealer within 1 hour to show you are serious and ask for an additional discount. when you show up to the dealer, its just a appreciation of their work and time
  11. You will hear lot of No’s (I used wife excuse such as ‘offer is great but I have spending limit’ what ever you can strike that NO’s)
  12. if the price doesn’t change, simply leave the building. if the cost is some what doable, they will call you.

good luck~!
