2019 Audi S5 what ya think? Help

,

Looking to see if I have any room on this deal. Can the experts help out?

2019 Audi S5 Sportback Premium Plus
MSRP $64,465
Sale price $57,652.87
Residual $38,034
Monthly is $615 plus tax
Total down $5,615 (includes first month payment)
Money factor .00206 (not 100% this is right but they told me it was).
10k miles a year
Includes $1,000 Audi loyalty

I know the down is a lot but I want that lower monthly (my wife is weird about that).

What’s the break down of the money down?

That’s a pretty sweet discount for a car that traditionally does not get discounted.

I got as much out of them as I could. Unfortunately they wouldn’t give me more details.

If they won’t break down what’s due at signing, go elsewhere. Tell them that this is a large financial decision and that you need the details. This is why some people like to compare offers with sign and drive with true $0 due at signing. They can get your monthly to any price you want and jerk you around if they’re in control of what is put down.

I think you have room to negotiate some more off MSRP. You are at 9.1% discount before $1,000 Audi loyalty. I think you can aim for 11-12% off MSRP. Speaking from experience on Audi S5 SB Prestige in Nor Cal. I got about 10.9% off with no incentives.

Check out Hamid at Audi Palo Alto, good guy to work with!

Thanks. I feel like they have a little bit to work with still too.

Why is your wife weird about throwing money away? Is she okay with the fact that if the car is totaled or stolen after a month, you just spend $5000 to drive a car for one month?

If you were renting a house, would you give your landlord a check for $5k and ask him to apply it to your rent over the next three years? No, right? Because that’d be ridiculous. So why do it when you are renting a car?

I think this horse has been beaten enough. No stranger on the internet is going to convince a man to argue with his wife over these things.
