2019 Audi S4 Prestige

Last night I went to look at an Audi S4 Prestige, 66,060 MSRP. I asked how much it would be to lease for 3 years, 7500 miles a year (event that is way more than I need), 0 down. They went to their office for literally 45 minutes then as I was about to walk out came and said… “You’d be at $1,200 because 0 down.” I basically said that was insane. I mean, for that I could pay cash for a 2015 BMW M3, drive it 3 years, cancel the insurance, then drive it into a lake. They came back and said they could do $900’s. I didn’t even bother to get any of the details about the deal.

How do I go about finding a deal on a 2019 S4? Do you typically drive to all the dealers, or just email and ask? I tried emailing a few, a long time ago, and was never taken seriously. I was generally told that they didn’t know how serious I was and it took time to work up the numbers so I needed to come in. What are numbers for 2019 S4’s looking like? I’m fine with the base model if it’s a lot cheaper. I see a lot of posts on the 2018’s, not sure if the numbers have changed at all.

Premium Plus models will lease better than a Prestige. The only time I would even think about going for a Prestige is during the December winter event, but thats if they are out of P+

I’m fine with even the base model. I kind of like the leather seats/lane assist stuff in the Prestige, but don’t need it. Is 900 a month actually reasonable for that car?

No it’s outrageous. For 2019, Audi introduced an S4 in the Premium trim. Much more affordable at about $52k MSRP.

Look into that.

this is actually a solid idea :joy: I probably wont get another Audi, the leases are just terrible

900 a month may be expected for an S5 Sportback, but absolutely not for an S4.

During the Winter Sales event S4’s were going for low 600’s quite easily. I know the lease support isn’t there like it was earlier, but it shouldn’t be that much worse.

I recommend you start sending emails out to as many different dealers as you can and cast your net out WIDE. You’ll eventually get someone if you stick to it… might take you spending a few minutes a week sending emails out for a several weeks before something bites on.

Persistence is key.

S4’s were leasing in the $500s during last year’s summer of Audi IIRC.

Take advantage of Audi’s msd program also.

I do remember the P+ stripped down models going for 500’s, but I wasn’t sure if it was unicorns or not. Not sure if the programs are similar?

Summer of Audi program is pretty similar to season of Audi (winter program). There’s usually an extra $1000-2000 in support from Audi that isn’t available rest of the year.

I think the difference was there was a ton of inventory in summertime, so people were getting max dealer discounts. I believe ivan mentioned that inventory was really low during the winter, thus the deals kinda dried up.

Also, a p+ Audi, even with no extra options, will be pretty reasonably equipped. All the basic safety stuff is standard. It’s only the advanced drivers aid stuff that you need to jump to a prestige to get.

Thanks for the input. So I’ll wait until the summer event, then go for a P or P+ model and see what they can do. Any advice on how to shop around quickly? Maybe I should hire a broker?

Find out the residual and MF for your desired model/trim and mileage/lease term here:

In terms of quote collecting, just email dealers, there is 0 value in going in person. Some may not respond, some may try to force you to come into the dealership, just be firm. If you really want to save yourself time, do some research on what is realistic in terms of discount, what the incentives are, and build out a deal scenario with the LH lease calculator. The biggest unknown is what ‘realistic’ means for an S4 discount in your market but getting quotes from multiple dealers will help you benchmark.

Edit:
Two other comments to save you time: 1. Plan to add Audi Care into a deal you consider. It adds 1% to the residual value of the car and covers your maintenance costs. 2. Using MSDs (multiple security deposits) will help reduce the interest rate, which can be quite high with Audi’s

I have negotiated every car I have leased over the past 11 years via email. If dealer can’t begin to negotiate over email, next.

Thanks I will do that!

900 for an S5??? Guess you can get a Volvo S90 + Volvo S60 and be at a close payment

I mean, yeah if you want two cars in your driveway.

I also consider the S5 to be significantly different than the S60. Then again… I wouldn’t lease an S5 at 900 a month. I’d just buy it.

Too impractical…and always mess it up with the Fusion from far behind😂 It is basically an S4 with less headroom in the back. For a $900 price, too many choices.

The highest volume Audi dealership in the country doesn’t negotiate via email.

Their prerogative. And I can understand why. And why the chance of pony setting foot in their dealership is

Well Specced P+ for 550
