2019 Audi Q5 Lease - is this a good deal?

,

CA 94040
2019 Q5 P+
MSRP: 55245
Downpayment: $3K + Taxes, registration, etc. (approx $2K)
Monthly lease: $650 including taxes
36 months / 10K miles

I’m meeting the dealer this morning and not aware of the discounted price or MF used to get me to $650/month all-inclusive. Should I push for $3K out of door at this monthly payment amount? Leasing for the first time and would appreciate any inputs.

Thanks!

It’s terrible… almost $750/month for a $55K car. You need to know the selling price, incentives, and MF to understand where you should negotiate. No reason to “meet” with the dealer until you are satisfied with the numbers.

There are a few recent threads about Q5 that I would review to get idea of discounting you should expect.

The $300-$400 for a broker may be well worth it.

Sorry, how is it $750/month? Spoke to the dealer and he updated the offer to $3K drive away and $650/month. Basically, we don’t have to additionally pay ~$2K for taxes, registration, etc. It’s included in the price.

Because the $3k down is just moving part of the monthly payments up front to make the monthly look more attractive.

Do you have audi loyalty?

If you are only putting a total of 3k down drive away and $650 tax included. The deal is pretty good.

Just ask for the deal sheet, post it here, and you get great feedback before you go in to sign to ensure you got the best possible deal.

Thanks all. We don’t have Audi loyalty. Yes, it’s a total of $3K down and $650/month tax included. On our way to the dealership. Will share the exact number when I see them. You guys are great! Appreciate all the help!

Don’t go to the dealer until you have a deal. This isn’t a good deal and it can be improved upon, but that won’t happen in a high pressure, in person environment.

For starters, put down some MSDs.

P+
MSRP:55245
Cap cost: 47787
Residual: 31490
Down:3000
Monthly including tax: 647
Includes all 3 years of maintenance

Thoughts?

Money factor?

What specifically is in the $3k down too?

Rate 1.99
Advanced payment: 647
Total cap reduction: 600
Upfront charges: 1753

That MF doesn’t even make sense… it’s definitely not 1.99% so likely .00199 which they are marking up.

Cap cost reduction aka is a down payment.

What are “upfront charges”?

Please walk out now and spend time going through the numbers in more detail.

Yes, the money factor is marked up… what’s the $1,700 breakdown?

I got $648/month with base numbers and only $1,500 down based on the sale price and standard numbers.

Honestly, it’s these types of games I’ve seen from local Audi dealers that pushed me away from them. Contact a broker or Ivan for what looks to be the best deal. If you really want a deal, pick a different car. Audi leases are still not very enticing.

It’s too late… I’m sure he got the car already and paid $1,500 too much for it. Probably had to take it today due to the “President’s Day Sale” too. Why you never want to go to a dealer unless you know the numbers cold and willing to walk.

I can beat it by $2k. Given your parameters.
