Okay I removed the $5k down, was hoping to recoup part of the down paid when purchased but it does look like there were some pretty competitive lease deals out there on the e-trons.

Do people still transfer leases on these cars with the continued liability? Are there any options to work around that?

Really no workarounds. I wouldnt recommend it personally

Maybe see if you have any equity in the car if you were to sell it?

On the ETRONs I genuinely doubt it.

Take the negative equity hit and get out clear by selling it. Don’t remain liable on an assumed lease.

If that’s the cost of “getting a new truck for work” so be it.
