They don’t discount these whatsoever. I test drove one and left unimpressed. But the R has a long following. If you don’t need AWD I’d go for the GTI all day. If you do, s3 leases better with Quattro.
The quattro in the s3 is the same fwd haldex system as the golf r, not the “true” quattro in the rest of the lineup
