Good deal OP. I’m still struggling with an xc90 leasing for $200-250 more per month than a qx60. Being frugal, I have a hard time coming to grips with that.
The options on OP’s are similar to the deluxe tech package on the QX60 with an msrp of 58. I too was intrigued at the extremely low prices on the base, premium and premium plus but I can’t get the same percentage discount on the top of the line. Lowest I can find is 500/ month and I haven’t pulled the trigger because the Volvo is in my opinion a much nicer vehicle.
Yeah, agree to get all the tech to equal what is on the xc90, you need the deluxe tech package on the qx60. But after owning an s90 for a little over a month, much of that tech is no longer on my requirements list and certainly wasnt on my wife’s list. I thought I’d like the pilot assist, but that and lane keeping were less useful than I thought they’d be. [If I drove on an open interstate for any period of time, I might be able to use them]
I think this is pretty good deal. Keep in mind, this is 36 month lease, not 39 as in QX60. So naturally, you pay a bit more. It is a much nicer car than QX60 inside and out. But I did struggle spending almost $300 more per month on it in my case
For what it’s worth, I did test drive the QX60 but did not like the ride as much. It does come down to personal preference too.
@cheapdad00 pilot assist is a feature I hardly use as well. The ones I really like are car play, digital display and nav in dash (behind steering), lane assist - I like that it fights me when I try switching lanes without turn lights on, drone view when parking and auto parallel parking. Rest I haven’t used at all.
The smart phone line display with really no buttons won me over as well. That being said, If you can get QX60 for under 400 then it’s a no-brainer.
For sure - you can get 2 QX60 for the monthly lease price of an XC90 or you can even get a QX60 and an S90 for the price of an Xc90 if you must have a Volvo
Make sure you sit in the second row… We compared XC90 and QX60 literally almost side by side yesterday at carmax and QX60 has more space inside. What ultimately killed the XC90 for us was the plastic on the bottom of the front seats that’s hitting your shins when you sit on second row. You have to sit in a somewhat specific position to avoid that. (It was t6 momentum, perhaps insc or r-des have diff seats?)
And the S90 gets you the panoramic sunroof and so much room in the 2nd row you can fit as many people as you want (just not all of them would be belted in).
