Couple of questions -
In Florida, is the tax levied on the monthly lease payment, sales price, or total lease payment?
Is this a good deal? I was really trying for $300-$320/month $0 down/drive or $0 down/first month due at signing.
Does the MF and Residual look right to you guys? Location is Sarasota, FL so Southeast Toyota. I could not seem to find any of the dealerships near me working with US Bank, does anyone know or work for one near Sarasota (Tampa, Naples, Ft Myers, even Ft. Lauderdale or Orlando)? Would be willing to travel 3 or so hours from Sarasota to work with someone who can get me a better deal.
This is also what the dealer just sent:
MSRP: $37,809
Selling Price: $34,000
Registration & Tags: $914.50 - I think this will go down since I am trading in and have a tag already.
Pre-Delivery Service Charge: $899.00
Acquisition Fee: $995.00
Gross Capitalized Cost: $36,808,50
Residual Value: $29,113.00
Net Cap Cost: $26,808.50
Amount paid monthly: $366.97
What do you all think? any room for further negotiation? I have seen a few posts of sub-300 TRD Sports so wondering if I could even get close. $300-$320 would make me happy.
That’s what I thought. I’ve reached back out and said that it’s pretty much right back up to MSRP with all the fees, etc. This was also after I got them down from $488 to the $367 which amazed me haha.
I recently looked at the Tacoma TRD Sport too (although a manual trans) with such a high residual. The MF kills the deal though…
There was someone on this forum who leased a TRD Sport last year in the low $200’s (and that was on a 24 month lease) which has an even high residual.
Im guessing the MF will def drop steadily over the next few months while the MY ages. Could make for a really cheap lease come this Memorial Day/Summer.
@TheBigTuna All the good Tacoma/Tundra Deals were with 3rd party banks. I doubt TFS (and SETF) would lower the MF to anything close to the other banks’ rates.
I wish US Bank (or others) would just tell you who they work with in this area! All the local dealers within 30-45 mins of me only deal with SETF - must be some sort of incentive that way (I think).
@Jon Do you who the third party banks are in the Northeast region? Curious to know which banks Toyota uses and how their respective residuals/MF’s compare to TFS.
I know Edmunds wont give you numbers for third party banks.
